Before I Lost My Memory, I Saved My Cold Ex

#After Losing My Memory, I Broke Up My Own Toxic Couple

When Lin Yiyi woke up, she learned that five years had passed and she now had a new identity: Mrs. Lu.

The story everyone else told went like this:

Back then, Lin Yiyi had worn Lu Zhi down with her relentless pursuit until he finally granted her a loveless marriage.

A marriage built on reluctance could only bring endless misery to them both, and it had fallen apart completely two years ago.

The turning point came on their way to file for divorce.

Still humbly in love with Lu Zhi, Lin Yiyi nearly lost her life saving the man who was about to leave her. From that day on, she fell into a coma.

Overnight, her sacrifice somehow awakened Lu Zhi's conscience.

People had seen the usually cold, arrogant, and heartless man kneeling by her hospital bed in the dead of night, breaking down in tears as he hoarsely called her name again and again, begging her to wake up.

Now Lin Yiyi had woken up, and everyone said Mrs. Lu had finally made it through the hard times. They all wondered how President Lu would make it up to her.

Lin Yiyi: ...

Her thoughts on this melodramatic story were simple:

First, the heroine is such a doormat that it doesn't fit her character. It absolutely can't be her.

Second, the hero actually has a conscience, which doesn't fit his character either. It absolutely can't be Lu Zhi.

Third, even if all of this is true...

Why would anyone keep a scumbag man and a pathetic woman together instead of breaking them up?!
