A Springtime Heartbeat

In this sultry rainy season, Cen Xixi's feelings were finally discovered. The boy was slightly taken aback, then politely but awkwardly turned down her affection. "There's already a girl I like." The girl Cheng Buzhou liked was Ai Bei, the belle of No. 2 High School. Of all the boys Cen Xixi had met, Cheng Buzhou was the warmest and most easygoing, yet also the most distant and cold-hearted, a boy who stood apart from the crowd. And because of this misunderstanding, they became the closest of friends, with nothing they couldn't talk about. They set off fireworks, built snowmen, and peeled roasted chestnuts together in winter. During summer vacation, they sprawled over their desks together, rushing to finish their homework. She brought him water when he played basketball. She helped him come up with plans to pursue Ai Bei. Afraid of losing their friendship, Cen Xixi carefully tucked away her budding feelings in a tin box, keeping them undisturbed. * On a spring day, Cheng Buzhou made a mistake. When young people discover love, they naturally admire the beautiful. Like many teenagers, he once had a shallow crush on Ai Bei, the school belle. It wasn't until one day that Cheng Buzhou suddenly realized just how important Cen Xixi was to him. The girl was like a great tree, having quietly taken root in his heart long ago. How could he make her believe that, without realizing it, he had already been deeply drawn to her, his feelings blossoming in silence, destined to last until death? * A comedy of errors about a guy who realizes he likes the heroine not long after rejecting her. The heroine doesn't believe the male lead could like her, and does her best to help him pursue his "one true love." The male lead ends up bringing trouble on himself, doing everything he can to get close to her while she comes up with plans to help him. Please note: The heroine is an ordinary girl in every way, but she's still doing her best to grow. Theme: Love and growth
