The Red-Hatted Elder Sister-in-Law (Here to Make Money, Not Fight over the Household)

The Prince of Pingyang was "killed in battle," and Nalan Mozhi, who had just become the Princess of Pingyang without ever meeting her husband, was now a widow in every sense of the word. Everyone said that the Prince of Pingyang's household was on its last legs, with only the old, the weak, the sick, and the disabled left.

The Prince of Pingyang had secretly returned, still alive, and decided to meet the wife he had never seen. He had heard that his princess was delicate and fainted whenever she went out. After hearing that he was dead and then seeing him in person, she would probably throw herself into his arms and cry her eyes out.

After changing his clothes and disguising himself as a merchant, he went to a teahouse. Across from him sat a woman in a veiled hat, her face hidden behind a veil. She had a slender waist and graceful figure, and looked frail and delicate.

The Prince of Pingyang clicked his tongue inwardly. The old emperor had clearly had an ulterior motive in arranging this marriage for him. He was just about to turn and leave when the woman spoke in a sweet, petulant voice: "You can forget about it. This rosewood mandarin-duck box is this price, and I won't take a penny less. If you don't want it, someone else will."

The Prince of Pingyang turned back.

He had thought his princess was delicate and spoiled. Later, he discovered that she was the old emperor's miscalculation. After they killed the emperor and founded a new kingdom, he could never have established an empire without his "delicate" princess.
