I wrote this when I was 16. I was so immature when replying to comments back then that rereading them now makes me cringe, so I've closed the comment section.
My new story, "My Fiance Lost His Memory," is now available. Here's the blurb:
Jiang Sui is an orphan whose life is as worthless as a blade of grass. Gravely ill, she has little time left.
On the snowy night when she was near death, the young Wei Yuan happened to pass by. His clear, shining eyes looked at her with worry and pity.
He offered her help. Over the next several years, Wei Yuan tested medicine on himself to cure her illness, taught her to read and write, and helped her understand people and reason. He even bought her a house and land so she could make a life for herself.
Wei Yuan was the best person Jiang Sui had ever known. He was a great hero who upheld justice, spent half his life fighting enemies and protecting the people, and saved her from a life of misery.
So later, when time had passed and Wei Yuan was gravely wounded and had lost his memory, forgetting that he had once loved her and made a marriage pact with her, Jiang Sui bore no resentment when he broke with her because he had fallen for someone else.
She continued to pray every year for her benefactor's safety and happiness. And when she saw Wei Yuan accused of treason for saving the woman he loved, Jiang Sui spent her entire fortune to rescue him from prison.
She stayed by Wei Yuan through the hardest stretch of his life, and later willingly risked her life to save the woman he loved.
The day Jiang Sui died, snow was falling heavily. But this time, her young man was lost in the joy of his beloved returning from the dead. He would not take her home again.

The people, the land, and his sense of duty were the shackles that bound Wei Yuan. He spent his life working himself to the bone, only to be framed by villains. He had done right by many people, but the one person he had wronged was Jiang Sui, who loved him.
Fortunately, fate took pity on him and gave him another chance at life. But the girl who should have been his was already married to another man.
He schemed to abduct Jiang Sui, and made himself relive every hardship she had endured in her previous life.
Wei Yuan knelt on the ground, eyes red-rimmed. "Do you still hate me?"
The young woman smiled gently. "I never hated you."
"I just don't love you anymore."
