It's a bit confusing, and sometimes the names are not used correctly. This should be Ye Qi, and some words feel like the wrong person is saying them. Such a plain conversation seems to have nothing to do with feelings or likes.
It's okay in the narration, but is it weird to call people "Father Shen" in the dialogue? Uncle Shen, uncle, and sir are all more normal.
