I Took Off My Armor for the General

As the legitimate princess, Li Ruyi should have lived a peaceful, happy life, with everything going her way.

Then her maternal clan fell into ruin, her brother went off to war, and amid sighs of pity, she was ordered to marry for peace and sent away to the desert.

And the wedding carriage was even sabotaged along the way, its axle smashed through.

"Please let the princess return to the capital," the young general Sun stood alone before the carriage. "Sun Jinyan is willing to serve you with all his heart."

The young man was dressed in rags and rode a skinny horse. He had no idea how many lashes he would face when he went back, yet he still risked his life to chase after her carriage.

Li Ruyi smiled, then burst into tears.

Five years later, she returned to the capital after taking her revenge and gave him the fastest steed and the finest armor.

In return, he gave her a realm stretching beneath a thousand miles of picturesque skies.

A little princess's revenge-and-ascension-to-the-throne story, with a devoted hero and two strong leads.
