Little Taoist Priest

[A palate cleanser, not very long, around 100,000 words] An optimistic, sickly young heiress x an ascetic, desire-free young Daoist Jian Anle has a terrible birth chart. She's been frail and sickly since childhood, and many people say she won't live long. To help her rest and recover, her parents send her to live at Lingyang Temple. On her very first day there, she falls for a man as graceful as the breeze and moonlight, with features like a painting. - From then on, Cheng Zhouxiao, the old temple master's last disciple, has a little shadow following him around. His junior brothers at the temple can't help teasing him. "Senior Brother, you let Lay Buddhist Jian follow you around every day. Do you like her?" Cheng Zhouxiao denies it flatly. "I let her follow me because Master assigned me to look after her." - Two months later, beneath the ginkgo tree. The man coaxes the young woman with a tub of ice cream. "Sit in my lap and eat." Everyone is speechless. Was that also an assignment from Master? * Daoist details are based on information found online and in books. * There will be plenty of plot holes and original embellishments. Theme: I decide my own fate, not heaven.
