[Upcoming: Silent Night, Frosted Stars]
Elegant and gentle heroine x obsessive and untamable hero
An affectionate emperor and empress who never doubt each other / No angst for the heroine / Our girl is the most beautiful
After living a second life, Chu Xia's deepest memory of her previous one was of the new emperor, Min Yanli, clad in black and radiating a cold, bloodthirsty air, holding her cold, stiff body and sobbing uncontrollably. His grief was so heartrending that she couldn't leave. She followed him as he conquered the world and unified the realm, watching him leave his harem empty and live out his days in loneliness.
He even bestowed the title of empress upon a dead woman.
That empress had the same name as her: Chu Xia.
Only then did she realize how deeply the boy she'd taken from the mountains out of pity had loved her, and how much she owed him.
Unable to let go, she returned to the age of fifteen. Her boy was still at the stage where he could barely speak. Gazing at him, she secretly vowed that this time she would love no one else by mistake, and never let him suffer loneliness or sorrow again. No matter how many twists and turns lay ahead, she would accompany him to the pinnacle of the empire and grow old by his side.

A little post-marriage scene,
At the winter solstice court assembly, the new emperor was changing in Taian Hall. Suddenly, an attendant arrived at the empress's chambers, looking helpless.
Chu Xia asked what was wrong. The attendant replied that His Majesty seemed to be in low spirits for some reason. His words were restrained and brief, but Chu Xia understood at once and went along with him.
The moment she stepped into Taian Hall, the emperor pulled her into his arms.
Chu Xia rested a hand at his waist and asked with a laugh, “Why are you in such low spirits?”
Min Yanli replied pitifully, “I haven't seen you for two days.”
Her heart warmed at his words. In a gentle voice, she coaxed him, “It'll be better after today. Be patient a little longer. Shall I help you change?”
After a long bout of sulking, the new emperor obediently agreed.
The attendants: He wasn't like this just a moment ago~
Important: Everyone is different, and people really do have different tastes and perspectives. It's fine if this isn't for you, just close the page. Let's respect one another. Thank you.
Silent Night, Frosted Stars (Marriage First, Love Later)
Sharp-tongued but soft-hearted beauty x aloof and noble crown prince
Also known as: My Archenemy Returned to the Spotlight Under My Watch
1) In the twentieth year of Jingjia, Crown Prince Mu Zheng was deposed and banished to Ningzhou. There were many explanations for the fall of this favored son of heaven, but one thing was generally agreed upon: Mu Zheng would never return to the Eastern Palace.
In no time, Mu Zheng became a hot potato everyone avoided. No one could have imagined that two months later, the emperor would issue an edict: Nanan Prince's legitimate daughter, Sang Yue, was to marry Mu Zheng as his principal wife.
The Nanan Prince was powerful and commanded a formidable army. No one would have dared question his legitimate daughter becoming crown princess, so why would she wade into this mess at such a sensitive time?
2) Who would dare mistreat the Nanan Prince's legitimate daughter? After the wedding, even Mu Zheng's life got easier.
Of course, Mu Zheng himself didn't see it that way. Miss Sang was just as talkative as he remembered.
After marrying him and moving to Ningzhou, she spent nearly all her time, apart from eating, drinking, dressing up, and having fun, pushing him to “better himself.”
“You're my archenemy. If people look down on you, they're looking down on me. Do you think I can put up with that?”
“The noble ladies in the capital have all started wearing cicada gauze. As a down-and-out Fourth Prince's Consort, I can only wear whatever I please.”
Mu Zheng: “...” Being a deposed crown prince wasn't easy, either.
3) In the twenty-fourth year of Jingjia, the deposed crown prince Mu Zheng made a comeback and returned to the Eastern Palace. On the night before leaving Ningzhou, Sang Yue handed him a divorce agreement without warning.
The usually aloof and noble crown prince shattered his composure. He clung to Sang Yue all night and, before her thoughts could completely unravel, leaned close to her ear and rasped, “Little Moon, I fought my way to the crown princess's position for you. How can you not want it?”
The moon belonged among the clouds, noble and untouched by even a speck of dust.
Yet for him, she had stepped into the mud.
But it was all right. He would send her back to the clouds.
Theme: Supporting each other and finding lasting love
After reading Luo Bao's soulful and complex novel, I found that I was still deeply attracted by Luo Bao's multi-layered narrative and characterization. Among them, it was not only the emotional changes and life experiences of the protagonists Yanli and Chuxia that made me think deeply, but also the cute but crucial supporting characters that made this book surprisingly three-dimensional and multi-dimensional. First of all, the protagonists-Yanli and Chuxia. Their love story, from rebirth to falling in love, from mutual incomprehension to the final inability to let go, has no dramatic or eye-catching conflicts, some are dull, but it is Chu Xia's plan for Yanli's future. The rebirth in early summer adds a mysterious and unpredictable color to their relationship. All of this made me deeply appreciate Luobo's profound insight into love and human nature. I seem to be able to see Yanli's loneliness and helplessness after his death in early summer, as well as his endless memory and love for her. However, what surprised me even more was that under the dazzling halo of the protagonists, the supporting characters did not eclipse them. Instead, they attracted me with their unique charm and depth. Among them, our patriarch-Mr. Meng. The relationship between Lord Meng and the late emperor is particularly eye-catching. How did they build that deep friendship from scratch? What enables them to maintain that tacit understanding of "mutual complementation" even in power struggles and wars? All this seems to tell me that in addition to the protagonist, there are all kinds of people and things in this world, and they affect the direction of the entire story in a subtle but not negligible way. Let's talk about Su Xingjie. In my opinion, this role can almost be described as "all-rounder". He was not only the late emperor's "sharp blade", but also Lord Meng's friend or child in his secluded life? After all, Lord Meng is the patriarch and Yanli's later mentor. His existence reminds me of those people in the long history who always stand behind the scenes but have a great influence. They may not be as dazzling and eye-catching as the protagonists, but their influence and importance cannot be underestimated. This work is not just a story, but a vivid world, a group of characters with different destinies and story lines. Each character, whether protagonist or supporting character, has their own history, emotions and struggles, which gives the work a high level of realism. In this book, even the "supporting characters" are not marginalized or simplified. They are not just tools to promote the development of the storyline, but also beings with rich inner worlds and multi-dimensional personalities. This situation is so common in real life, but it is often ignored or simplified in many literary works. In the book, the relationship between Master Meng, Su Xingjie and the late emperor and the protagonists Yanli and Chuxia is not simply the relationship between supporting characters and the protagonist, but a complex, changeable and mutually influencing network of interpersonal relationships. They may not occupy much space in the story, but they influence the development and depth of the entire story in an indescribable way. I have to say that Carrot's characterization and narrative techniques are quite superb. By delicately describing these seemingly inconspicuous but crucial supporting characters, he successfully expanded a story about love and destiny into a work about human nature and history. Ultimately, when I finished reading this book, I didn't feel like it was just a novel, but more like a series. Because in it, I seemed to see the life of every character, and every detail of every story was so vivid and fascinating. And all this is due to Luobo's superb characterization and deep understanding of the characters. All in all, this is a work worth reading again and again. Not only because it profoundly explores love and human nature, but also because it successfully creates a multi-dimensional world full of rhythm and connotation, allowing readers to think and feel freely. I think this might be what a great novel should be.
It's so great, especially Min Mingjun's story, I cried to death
I've finished reading. I'm looking forward to Xiao Mint and Brown Brother's articles.
I really want to know where Wu Huaining is? Is that your name? That attendant of Concubine Zhao? Why didn't he come back to meet me? I really want to see this scene and then know why the male protagonist went into the mountains and why he stayed there and never came out. Many scenes made me cry, they were very passionate, but I still want to know the details.
He secretly posted a side story. Look, this is your original story.
It's so beautiful. Oh my god, I beg you to write more ancient poems. It warms my heart.
"He has to check it carefully." This is a big bug for the author~
I really want to see more sub-CPs. Princess Mint is also looking forward to a big update from the author 💪 💪 💪
Why did the Supreme Emperor Huidi not come out even after talking about twins for nine chapters? When he left, didn't he say that he would come back to see the child when he was born? What a pity
Ahhhhhhh, love it so much
