Ruan Xingcheng transmigrated into a book. Heaven knows why a spirit like her ended up bound to a System and transmigrated into a book.

Transmigrating into a book was one thing, but she had brought along her spirit's constitution: “If I don't absorb vital energy, I'll die.”

Only by filling the vital-energy bottle provided by the System within five years could she be rid of this constitution.

With no other choice, she picked the person with the strongest vital energy and latched onto him.

Jiang Heng got himself a girlfriend who had eyes only for him, obeyed his every word, and could put up with his silence and possessive nature.

Then one day, he discovered her secret Weibo account.

“Ugh, Jiang Heng made me study again. I'm a spirit! Spirits don't have the brains for studying.”

“Jiang Heng is so boring. Being with him is no fun.”

“Thirty days until I break up with him. Once I've leeched his vital energy for thirty days, I'm out.”

Ruan Xingcheng looked at the vital energy filling the last mark on her bottle. Struggling to contain her excitement at finally escaping this misery, she went to crawl into Jiang Heng's bed as usual.

But Jiang Heng expressionlessly pried her fingers loose, buttoned his shirt all the way to the top, and said calmly, “Starting today, I'm staying chaste.”

“???”
