Playing the Madman in an Infinite Game

Lin Lu has always been the kind of European-style lucky player who pulls an SSR while everyone else gets an R.

So, of course, he was randomly chosen to become a game tester for [Horror Paradise].

[Would you like to participate in the latest beta test, lucky one?]

When Lin Lu's "crazy" side kicked in, he asked, "If I participate, do you provide a partner?"

[Ha! You're going into a horror world to find a partner?]

During one game, he ran into the genuinely crazy big shot Qi Su. The worst part was that he'd managed to trick the man, so from then on, Qi Su had it in for him.

The big shot said, "I can't wait to kill you."

Lin Lu: "...I don't think that's going to work. You can't kill me. My luck is off the charts."

But two instances later, the big shot stepped in to save him in a crisis.

Lin Lu stared at him, bewildered. "Didn't you say you wanted to kill me?"

Qi Su sneered. "You think you can die at someone else's hands?"

"..." Damn!

Later, Qi Su's gaze grew increasingly complicated, and they kept running into each other in every world. He no longer acted like the King of Hell, threatening to kill Lin Lu at every turn.

Lin Lu looked grave, wondering if the man had come up with a new way to torment him, drive him to the brink of a mental breakdown, and then finish him off with some ultimate move.

Wow, that's twisted.

In the end, Lin Lu decided to stop looking for a partner. He'd get stronger as he went along, and whenever he saw Qi Su, he'd run. If he couldn't afford to provoke him, surely he could at least avoid him?

PS: Both male leads have blood on their hands. The gong is genuinely insane and sadistic, and his mood swings are an everyday thing. He's the perfect handsome-and-strong type. The shou is occasionally "crazy," has an unusual way of thinking, and is a lucky charm.

Theme: Heaven sets obstacles in your path to strengthen your will. Only by overcoming them can you see a different world.
