The Princess Consort Is Busy Opening a Shop

Who knows what sins the previous generation of the Southern Qin imperial family committed? By Qianwei's generation, she was the only girl in the family. From the emperor and empress dowager down to every imperial relative, everyone doted on her. She could do as she pleased throughout Southern Qin, and no one dared say a word. Then Xiao Zhan appeared out of nowhere and snatched her away to the Western Liang Kingdom, where she had no one to turn to.

Who was Xiao Zhan? Rumor had it that, despite his young age, he had climbed to power by stepping over the corpses of the younger generation of the Western Liang imperial family. He was moody and eccentric, and had a bad stomach.

Qianwei, who valued her life, reasoned that it made sense for someone who had killed so many people on his way to the top to dislike eating meat. The ancients had once made tofu taste like chicken, so she would turn carrots into beef brisket. Surely she could cure his food aversion.

Bonus scene:

After some time spent treating him, one morning Qianwei complained weakly, "I'm treating your dislike of meat. You don't like meat, so why do you keep nibbling on me?"

He looked at her meaningfully. "The cook is more delicious and appetizing than the food she makes."

Reader's guide:

1. One-on-one, both virgins, happy ending. Everyone has many sides, and their personalities are believable and varied.

2. What dishes get made and how they're cooked is entirely up to the author's preferences. I decide what effects each dish has. I don't care what you think, I'll decide what I think.

3. The setting is made up. Whatever I say exists, exists. If you're a stickler for historical accuracy, this may not be for you. If you drop the story, please leave quietly.

4. Most importantly: The characters do what they need to for the story. Don't read the author's personal values into them. A villain's values in a movie or TV show don't represent the values of the actor playing them. I hope everyone understands this. Kisses!

5. Any similarity between the male lead's name and a homophone is purely coincidental!
