The Dog I Raised Is Up to No Good Around Me

When Xia Xianyu found Jiang Li, he was like a stray puppy used to fending for himself. Born in the mountains and unable to speak, he had nevertheless learned all the cunning, vindictiveness, wariness, and ferocity of a wild beast. He even bit her as a memento of their first meeting. Xia Xianyu gave him food, clothes, and a place to live. She taught him to read and how to behave, named him Jiang Li, and wished that one day he would leave this remote little town and step into a bright, boundless future. But she forgot that even the fiercest puppy was still a puppy. Humans could tame it, and every joy and sorrow in the world could come to take the shape of one person. It was only when the boy she had raised held her captive, and the damp kisses that had always playfully licked her fingertips began landing on the corner of her lips, that Xia Xianyu realized once more: Perhaps what she had picked up back then wasn't a puppy, but a young, cunning wolf. She began to panic. *** *** A story about raising a puppy. If you like it, please add it to your favorites~ Theme: To do a good job, one must first sharpen one's tools
