The Selfless Immortal Venerable Is the White Moonlight, Yet All Under Heaven Want Him to Fall to Evil

Ying Miaoguang is the protagonist and universal bottom in a Haitang novel.

However, this Haitang novel is fanfiction based on a male-oriented novel.

In the original, Ying Miaoguang follows an overwhelming-power progression, a dark Immortal Venerable who can crush the heavens and earth, defeat all opposition across the Three Realms, and sacrifice all living beings to forge his own immortality.

But in this Haitang fanfic, Ying Miaoguang is the opposite of his original self.

His character is that of a selfless, gentle, truly virtuous saint. He acts without seeking anything in return, solely for the sake of all living beings.

When necessary, he can even offer himself to a demon to protect mortals.

The full plot of the Haitang novel goes like this:

After Ying Miaoguang fails to overcome his tribulation, loses his memories, and becomes mortal, someone takes advantage of him and violates him.

The first top is the Demon Emperor Senluo.

He was once Ying Miaoguang's beloved, and the two had fallen for each other, missing only one step before becoming cultivation partners.

But when the Demon Emperor Senluo was framed and corrupted by demonic influence, Ying Miaoguang put the greater good above all else and personally killed the man he loved.

Many years later, when the Demon Emperor Senluo sees the fallen Ying Miaoguang in the Cave of Union, he resents how heartless Ying Miaoguang was in the past and subjects him to repeated humiliation.

The second top is the Fox Clan's Demon King.

He prides himself on having seen through all human nature, and scoffs, "People are so corrupt. How could there possibly be a true gentleman in this world? They're all hypocrites seeking fame."

So he repeatedly toys with Ying Miaoguang and tests him, hoping to see him drop the act and reveal the selfish, ugly side of an ordinary person.

The third top is his junior martial brother.

He is a hot-blooded, arrogant genius, and he and Ying Miaoguang were bitter rivals from childhood. He has always looked down on Ying Miaoguang for being cold and rigid.

But when he is afflicted by a love gu and on the verge of death, only Ying Miaoguang is willing to spend three years curing him, at the cost of damaging his own cultivation.

Throughout those three years, the two are like true lovers, spending their days flirting and admiring the scenery, and their nights entangled in bed.

By the time the love gu is cured, the junior martial brother has genuinely fallen in love with Ying Miaoguang. He confesses his feelings and asks to become eternal-heart cultivation partners.

But Ying Miaoguang says apologetically, "Junior brother, I can't accept. Everything between us was for the sake of curing the gu. If someone else had been afflicted that day instead of you, I would have saved them too."

So when Ying Miaoguang falls into hardship, his junior martial brother conceals all news of him, takes up the position of Immortal Venerable, and announces to the world that Ying Miaoguang has died and the Celestial Heart Immortal Venerable is no more.

In private, he keeps Ying Miaoguang as his captive plaything. He devotes great effort to building a magnificent golden palace, determined to torment the immortal amid worldly pleasures and desires, hoping Ying Miaoguang will become tainted by the mortal world.

Ying Miaoguang's ending is to be raped and corrupted into a docile shared wife who puts her husband above all else.

Fortunately, the dark Immortal Venerable version of Ying Miaoguang from the original novel transmigrates into this Haitang novel.

At first, the Immortal Venerable is horrified and furious: "How can my counterpart be such a kind gentleman who won't even fight back? Get lost! I won't let anyone defile his chastity!"

Later, the Immortal Venerable says, "Whoa, my counterpart was clearly made to be my one and only wife! Darling, darling, you're so irresistible when you're worked up!"
