A tuberose from the Heavenly Mountain, a red spider lily before the Jade Pool. A jade hairpin, a token of affection, something to cling to in despair. A konghou melody, a vow of eternal devotion. The hairpin shatters, and love and heart alike are broken. The konghou scatters, and heaven and earth are destroyed.
Theme: Exposing the hypocrisy of human nature, the fragility of love, humanity's mad pursuit and defense of power, fear of the unknown, and the sacrifice of a few to preserve the happiness of the many.
