Born in the 21st century, Lin Xuyan is a model young socialist known as the "Scholarship Reaper" and a firm atheist.
Yet one day, while preparing for an internship in his senior year of college, he received a special offer.
"Dear Lin Xuyan, congratulations! You have been selected as a candidate for the next King of Hell. During your evaluation, Black and White Impermanence will serve as your instructors, and the many ghost generals, including Ox-Head and Horse-Face, will be your subordinates. Work hard to become the next King of Hell!"
On the first day of his internship, however, Lin Xuyan, the new trainee King of Hell, was so frightened by his own subordinates that he ended up in the hospital.
