I'm the Demon King's Childhood Sweetheart

Originally titled The Witch Raising System

On a certain planet

General: “My King, the captured Witch Raising System has been examined by experts. They believe it can help the princess break her memory seal.”

Demon King: “Let me take a look.”

The general thought to himself: The King is saying strange things again.

Not long after, the Demon King learns that his childhood sweetheart has been in a car accident.

On Earth

Shen Qingyou dies in a car accident and gets bound to the Witch Raising System, allowing her to stay alive.

She thinks the System is wicked: it tempts its Host into taking other people’s souls.

And it’s also cheeky and shameless:

“Host, there’s no need to panic. This System doesn’t need that extra year of your life.”

The Demon King feels wronged: I’m not evil. It’s all the System’s fault.

In a dream created by the System, Shen Qingyou experiences her first love.

Later, her “dream lover” appears in the real world.

In the dream, he says, “Don’t pretend you remember. I’m sure you’ve forgotten who I am. Say my name in one second.”

In real life, he says, “We’ve known each other for a long time, but you don’t remember the past.”

The Demon King thinks: Why hasn’t this silly girl got her memories back yet? This king is going crazy with worry!

In the dream, he wears nothing but pajama pants and invites her to dance the waltz.

In real life, he offers to be her “guy best friend” just so he can hold her hand.

The Demon King thinks: I want so badly to pounce on this little rascal and help her get her memories back.

Notes:

1. One-on-one romance from beginning to end. The heroine is playful, cheerful, and always joking on the inside, but seems pitiful, meek, and obedient on the outside. She’s a drama queen. The hero is a green, domineering, theatrical shut-in Demon King.

2. A long story, sweet and satisfying, with both career and romance storylines.

3. The career storyline is mainly set in the entertainment industry. It takes place in a parallel world where the entertainment industry in Huaguo is on par with America’s. All characters are fictional, with no real-life counterparts.
