This is a short spin-off of my other novel, Interstellar: The Breeze Is True. It's not long, just over 20,000 words.
It works even better on its own [doge].
It's fine if you haven't read the original novel. This story has little to do with it and is basically an extra.
This silly author decided to publish this short story separately because it's written in first person, unlike the original, which is told from an omniscient point of view. I was afraid putting it in the original's extras would throw off the writing style [bows].
