The Road We Walked Together

The one who once vowed, “May I have one heart, and never be parted until our hair turns white,” gave up the right to love me.

The one who once said, “Bing’er, when we grow up, I’ll make you my wife,” went and married someone else.

Only that little one told me, “Mother, Zhen’er wants to be your son for the rest of his life. We’ll never be apart.” He was with me through this life and the life before it. I can only hope that in the next life, we’ll be mother and son for a lifetime.
