Contract Lover

A side story to Obstetrics Hospital, telling Rong Jin's story.

A stunning beauty is willing to become someone's "stepmother" just to marry into a wealthy family. It comes as no surprise when Rong Jin earns a reputation for using his looks to get money. People openly mock him for selling his body to pay off his gambling-addict father's debts, while privately envying his luxurious life in the lap of wealth.

But in reality, Rong Jin's life is like this:

Monday: Signing contracts in a rubber plantation near the equator, under temperatures of forty degrees.

Tuesday: Acquiring deep-sea fishing vessels at an Alaskan fishing port, braving a biting wind of twenty degrees below zero.

Wednesday: Procuring ginseng in a remote mountain forest teeming with snakes, insects, rats, and mice.

Thursday: Arguing until he is red in the face with Wall Street bigwigs over a 0.1-point profit margin on a bond issue.

Friday: An exhausting banquet drags on until two in the morning, and he has already spent three nights in a row sleeping on some form of transport.

Saturday: Taking his stepson to a school family event, enduring other parents' pointed jabs at his background while forcing himself to smile and keep quiet.

Sunday: Taking out the divorce agreement for the umpteenth time, then putting it back in the drawer yet again...

After all, Luo Fengyi had made it perfectly clear from the start: Sign the agreement, and I'll give you a title and grant you wealth and glory. I ask only one thing: you must be absolutely loyal to me and serve the Luo family for the rest of your life.

You're just a tool. What need is there for love?

Theme: Companionship is the longest-lasting declaration of love.
