My Neighbor Is Not Human

Pan Chenchen has lived for thousands of years. She has nothing to her name except the ability to brew excellent tea, tea that can kill or bring people back to life.

Later, her dilapidated little temple was demolished, and she got an apartment where she could live rent-free for ten years.

This apartment building is quite unusual

The restaurant chef on the first floor is Meng Po.

The owner of the wish-granting shop on the second floor is a turtle.

The museum on the third floor lets you travel through time.

Every tenant is loaded. The gods are filthy rich.

Poor Pan Chenchen gazes enviously at the bald tea seed in a crack in the concrete and decides to grow it, sell tea, and earn enough to buy a proper apartment.

Her hopes are fulfilled: the tea tree grows, and she even picks up a free waiter.

Just as she thinks she's about to reach the peak of her life, the old geezer next door plucks her tea leaves, and a lamprey from downstairs steals her waiter!

To earn money selling tea, she has no choice but to puff on her pipe, visit each neighbor to "say hello," then water her bald tea tree all over again.

The little tree spirit opens its eyes to see a girl crouching in front of it, muttering, "Tree, oh tree, grow up quickly and sprout lots of leaves."

In that moment, it thinks the girl is beautiful and kind-hearted, saving it from danger when it was injured.

It decides to grow into the very form she dreams of.

And then

It gets plucked bald, not a single leaf left!

Little Tree Spirit: ... I thought you were saving me. I didn't realize you just wanted my leaves QAQ

Note:

The male lead is a tree spirit who can take human form. The female lead isn't human.

The whole story is completely freewheeling.
