After thinking it over for two days, I've decided to stop updating this book for now. I have a very important exam next March, and I've already started taking classes at a prep school these past few weeks. I thought I had enough time: spend an hour writing at the library in the morning, then another hour after class in the evening, which should be just enough to write three thousand words a day. But the more advanced calculus gets, the harder I find it to keep up. When I think about the three other courses I have, I start to panic.
These things have also affected the book. It took me a long time to go from coming up with the idea to actually posting it. I'm not a fast writer, usually managing around 1,500 words an hour, but now I keep getting stuck. Writing feels uncomfortable, and my speed has dropped to barely 1,000 words an hour. I had planned out just about everything at the start, but as I wrote, I ran out of ideas. I have a general outline, but not enough details to fill in the middle. I've also slowed the pace of the story, and it's no longer quite what I originally envisioned. I feel like if I keep going this way, I'll ruin the book, so I'm leaving it here for now.
I'm very grateful to all the friends who have stayed with me since my first book, and to everyone I've met through this one. Because of my own circumstances, I'm very sorry I can't keep updating it. Writing novels has been a joy for me, but I have something more important to take care of now, so I'm truly sorry. Thank you for being there for me. Really, thank you!
