After my take on the Investiture of the Gods
An old married couple's kind of life
Past-life trope
The silliness can't be helped
Extremely melodramatic
Major rewrite
A prince with wicked, utterly straightforward thoughts, an attacking Lingzhu (Si Yao) x a battle-ready, restrained palace slave and disgraced official, a receiving Mowan (Guan Heng) (tragic ending in the past life). This is the main story!!!
An irritable Mowan lotus who is devoted to his wife at home x a gentle, reserved, slightly scheming Lingzhu who can be petulant????????? (happy ending in this life). Yes!!!
Theme: Though the mountain has trees, the trees have branches; my heart desires you, but you do not know.
