Where He Lies in Heaven and Hell

If the heavens above are kind, I wish to be with you, our love never to fade.

Until mountains lose their peaks, rivers run dry, thunder sounds in winter, and snow falls in summer.

Until heaven and earth unite, nothing shall part us!

Yuchi Xuan, the foremost of the fourteen young lords, is peerless in both appearance and talent.

Yet, accused of bringing plague and ruin upon his country, he is driven from place to place, with nowhere to call home.

When rain catches him on the road, a "stranger" offers him a helping hand.

The unexpected kindness leaves him overwhelmed, yet he cannot bear to let go.

That person's warmth seems able to melt the heart he has kept frozen for years...

Cen Gui, king of ten thousand ghosts, is arrogant and invincible.

When he first meets Yuchi Xuan, he feels as if they have met in another life.

Everyone says he is overbearing and unreasonable,

but he is willing to give that person the very best of everything,

hoping only that they will stay by his side forever...

[Flexible, beloved seme x stone-hearted, ruthless uke (strong leads)]

Both leads have [lost their memories], and the story involves [past and present lives].

[Reader Advisory]

1. The seme is very impulsive early on and kisses him from the start.

2. The uke is cold, exceptionally so. His aloof nature makes for a long courtship. If you want mutual pampering and sweet fluff right away, this may not be for you.

3. Written a year ago. The pacing is not fast.

4. Includes Japanese-inspired elements.

5. Set in a fictional world, not based on reality.

6. There is both sweetness and angst. The story takes a neutral stance, so readers with extreme seme- or uke-favoring preferences may want to avoid it.

Theme: Keep fawning over someone, and in the end you will get everything. / Even the iciest iceberg will eventually be conquered by a wolf-dog seme.
