A note before we begin:
I stopped updating this story before, and a friend who wanted to write asked me for the premise. I wasn't planning to write anymore, so I gave it to her. But years have passed and she still hasn't written it, so I asked for it back.
After I stopped updating back then, I started having bad luck. First, I felt like someone had taken my story idea. Then an author took a screenshot out of context and accused me of fraud. I'm not someone who usually keeps evidence, so all I could prove was that I hadn't committed fraud. Anyway, I felt awful, and I still hold a grudge about it. A couple of days ago, I dreamed about Pei Xingge's parents, which made me want to continue writing. But I've already closed the comments, so I'm reposting the old story. I'll revise it and continue when I have time. That's that.
