Red Maple Leaves Carry My Longing

"A leaf grows evergreen, but love changes everything."

It was the season when the maple leaves turned red, and the first time you and I met. Because of you, my heart lost control for the first time, and because of you, I suffered unbearable pain for the first time.

I hate that you once promised we'd stay together for life, only to break your promise again and again. But I hate even more that fate brought you to my side, only to take you away in the end.

I'm thankful that in my memories, we loved each other so much.
