A massive live-action card game
From the start, with two cards in hand, Yu Chang thought he was pretty well off.
That was before he saw the card slots for this round.
2/500
Congratulations on achieving the title [Fewest in the Game]
After getting a rare character card, Yu Chang thought he was incredibly lucky.
He couldn't help wondering: Would it be a fighter-type card, or a healer?
Give him a break. He'd barely seen any cards at all.
He turned it over, brimming with anticipation,
hoping it would keep an unarmed player like him alive,
so he wouldn't die on the spot among a bunch of ferocious players with 400+ cards in hand.
Congratulations on obtaining the card [Masseur]
Description: Provides you with the ultimate pleasure
The new masseur tried desperately to prove himself,
because he felt his owner didn't care for him as a card.
"Won't you give me a try?"
Yu Chang didn't even look up. "Didn't I already try?"
The air fell quiet for a moment. "I mean, try using my skill on yourself. I'm really good. Won't you give it a try?"
"Oh, is that so? Sounds great." [Dismissive]
The masseur's voice was low and gentle. "My previous owners all loved what I could do... In your human terms, you might say they were so captivated they forgot to go home."
What kind of proper thing was that to say?
Bullets were still flying past his head, and this guy was trying to pull this stunt?
Yu Chang snapped, "Go play somewhere else."
At last, one day, the masseur understood what his owner truly wanted.
Early the next morning, Yu Chang opened his eyes.
[Congratulations, Player Yu Chang, on completing the mission]
???
What day was it, anyway?
Wasn't he supposed to unravel an old mystery?
Wasn't he supposed to deal with the shadow behind it all?
Wasn't there supposed to be ten players fighting for the one and only victory?
The masseur pushed a little cart into the bedroom. "You're awake. Today's breakfast..."
"What's going on with the game?" Yu Chang looked up and asked him.
The handsome man looked a little confused. Sunlight shone down, and the shadow behind him shattered and scattered. He smiled faintly. "I'm not sure, but it seems like they all died."
