In 2060, the supposedly truly groundbreaking online game Fantasy Paradise is released. A few years earlier, a sudden fire broke out at the protagonist Xiahou Chen's home. After her younger brother mentioned the game's name in his dying words, she sets out to uncover the truth and avenge her family. She plays a male character, flirting with girls everywhere (or so it seems), and grows stronger on her own as she searches for clues. Along the way, she makes companions she can fight beside, and her outlook changes as her journey unfolds. But the deeper she gets into the game, the more Chen realizes that something is wrong with the game, and even with herself...
