[The new version of Volume 1 has replaced the story through Chapter 66]
“You are the flame that burns forever in my life.”
“For you, I would face death and return to life!”
The gloomy young man Luo Chao transmigrated into a book and found himself in a cultivation world.
But he was strongly opposed to becoming an immortal. Forced to live in a world where people slaughtered each other for cultivation resources every day, he felt that life was worse than death.
If not for all the responsibilities holding him back, he would have ended his life long ago.
But after enduring this torment for more than a thousand years, just as he finally seemed to be a little closer to death...
One day, he woke up to discover that his bad luck had doubled: he had been reborn!
Worse still, after being reborn, he repeatedly tried to kill himself in despair, but failed every time. It turned out he had not only been reborn, but had also gained a “never-ending resurrection” golden finger.
That meant he couldn't die at all. He might have to live forever!
To others, this ability might be a stroke of fortune, but to him, it was nothing short of torture!
Just as he was wailing in despair and on the verge of madness, a red-robed swordsman appeared, someone who had not been in the original story.
It was as if this man had come in response to his heartfelt wish. The moment he appeared, he plunged his sword straight through Luo Chao from behind.
For some reason, this strange and aloof swordsman insisted on killing him with his own hands to prove his Dao.
In other words: You can only die by my hand, to serve as an offering to my Dao.
Want to kill yourself? Not a chance. Your life belongs to me!
Luo Chao just laughed, thinking: Even the Jade Emperor can't control whether I live or die. Who do you think you are?
So long as life went on, he kept seeking death, heading every day to the cultivation world's most perilous places to die.
I refuse to believe I can't die ^_^
But no matter how horribly I die, I will never die at your hands and become your stepping stone!
The cultivation world's onlookers had this to say:
Isn't he your Dao companion?!
He has risked his life to save you from danger countless times!
You've made even the cold cultivation world believe in love again!
Luo Chao (expressionless): Who the hell believes in love :-)
Or would you like to experience the exquisite sensation of being run through the heart with a sword?
At first, Luo Chao was cold, resistant, and scornful: Anyone who wants to save me had better be ready to go to hell with me!
Later, he deceived and abandoned the man, fleeing alone...
Tormented by guilt day and night, he tried to fool himself, thinking:
If I really die for good one day, he'll probably be able to move on from me eventually.
It's not worth it. I mean, I'm not worth it. There's no reason to go that far for me.
Only when they finally reached the point of facing each other in a fight to the death did he realize his mistake. Overcome with regret, he wept bitterly:
“I'm sorry, A Chen, I'm sorry... I'll never leave you again, ever.”
“Please don't hurt yourself anymore. Don't suffer because of me...”
In the end, he swore: I will live for you, even if it takes countless lifetimes and endless cycles of reincarnation.
After they fell in love, Luo Chao became an utterly fanatical fanboy. His remarks were so outrageous that even the person himself would be embarrassed enough to run away overnight:
“If you ask me what kind of person my dear A Chen is... well, he's perfect, of course!
He's the embodiment of all the love and beauty in the universe, the true god of light, powerful enough to defeat all the evil and darkness in the world. Apollo's radiance is nothing compared to his!
All the love gods of every age and culture combined couldn't begin to match even a fraction of his passionate love for me.
Nuwa must have put the utmost care into shaping him. He's the very essence of heaven and earth, the spirit of mountains and rivers, and the soul of the sun and moon...
(About ten thousand words of flattery omitted here.)”
He also became pathologically clingy.
Once, they went on a trip and their inn had no double rooms, so they had to sleep separately. Luo Chao spent the whole night biting his quilt and crying alone:
“Waaah... Big Brother, how can I live without you?
You're my whole life, A Chen!”
After they got married, he became even more demanding of himself, determined to be a househusband who did every chore better than anyone else:
“Sweetheart, come eat. Today I made sweet and sour pork, winter melon and ribs, vermicelli with garlic... For dessert, there's tremella and lotus seed soup.”
In the end, the cultivation world's onlookers got so fed up with their public displays of affection that they had to protest again: We told you ages ago, but back then you denied it and even said you were mortal enemies...
Seriously, get a room!
Theme: A love that stays together through life and death
First of all, I understand very well that you, and perhaps many old readers including you, feel nostalgic for the old version, and feel unfamiliar and uncomfortable with the new version. Rather, I had anticipated this possibility when I decided to rewrite it, so I felt uneasy for a while, not knowing whether everyone would accept the new version... Of course, what I want to express most here is my apology. I am very sorry for deleting the original text that has been with me for a long time and has placed a lot of emotion on it for old readers including you. I value and appreciate your feelings for the old version very much, especially your affirmation of the old version. It is also a very important supporting force for me. Without this support, it would be difficult for me to reach this point in my writing journey... So before I start to explain, First of all, I have to make it clear and emphasize that I am not trying to prove right or wrong to you, or to prove that "my revised direction is right" by explaining the editing ideas - it is definitely not this kind of debate about right and wrong, absolutely not, and there should not be any debate about right or wrong here. This is not what I want to express. If there is an emotional theme in this reply, that is, what is the purpose of expression, it is first of all gratitude - thank you to all readers and friends along the way, which is the largest and heaviest emotion; secondly comfort, I want to be able to comfort you and help slightly heal the pain of "the character I like suddenly becomes a stranger"; and finally apology, whether it is the frequency of updates or the modification itself, I am very sorry... I swear that these three emotions of mine are sincere and have no pretense. Therefore, in the following statements about explaining the ideas for revising the article, my purpose is not to prove that what I changed is correct. That is not the case. My only purpose is to comfort. I hope that in the process of explanation, you can see the considerations behind the text, how it became what it is now step by step, and why I think the nature of the characters has not changed, but the state they presented at the beginning has changed... This explanation of mine may allow you to re-establish a sense of familiarity with the characters. And my retention is by no means motivated by any profit. I just feel that the feeling of losing the text that I once loved and was familiar with, that is, the character, is really too painful. This is indeed a very painful disappointment for your five-year expectations for this article. I don't want your love and expectations for this article to eventually come to nothing and become a kind of permanent regret and sadness. That will also be a very sad thing for me. Because I have worked so hard and even desperately in writing and constantly revising in the past few years, I have overcome all kinds of unspeakable pain to come through, just to live up to everyone's expectations. I hope to finally present a version with the highest degree of completion and try my best to achieve the highest level that I can currently achieve. No matter how hard I try, I will inevitably bring disappointment in the end and make you feel let down. This is also very painful for me. (Of course, let me tell you in advance that I have backups of all versions. If you need it, I can of course send you the backup of the old version in some way as a souvenir - all old readers who need the old version can also ask me for it) Of course, I also understand very well that no matter how reasonable the new version is, no matter whether the new version is more complete, it cannot replace the value of the old version to you. Because I have always believed in this theory - "the other half of the work is completed by the reader", [reading itself is already a kind of re-creation], so the most precious thing is not even my old version of the text itself, but the readers who love it most, including you, especially in the process of repeated reading, the difference produced each time Emotions, imaginations, etc., That is to say, "your feelings are the most precious". Reading itself is also a life-consuming re-creation, and there are a thousand Hamlets in the eyes of a thousand people. Everyone will have different feelings and imaginations about the text, so the feelings generated by each person's reading are not only precious, but also often unique. You spend your life reading, and the irrevocable time passed by reading, as well as the emotions generated during that time, etc., Are condensed and placed on the text to varying degrees. As you said, it has been with you for a long time, so it is not just the text that is precious, but also your existence as an individual in the world - the preciousness of life itself. Rather, it is such an honor for me and my works to be read and treated so seriously by you. I even feel a little bit ashamed because I feel that I am not doing a good enough job. In short, thank you very much to all readers, including you, for reading carefully. To be honest, I had never imagined that someone would work so hard for me. Thank you very much. Of course, I also understand this feeling. It is like a person sharing a song he likes with a friend, but the other party cannot understand it... But it doesn't matter. Reading is a matter of taste, and no matter how many people understand or like it equally, I think this will not damage your own appreciation for, not only my work. It is the value of love for any work you like - it does not detract from the preciousness of this love... In this sense, the love that every individual exhausts his or her own life to experience or create, express or convey in the literary and art world has the same and equal precious value. This is inherent in the value itself of "all people are created equal" and does not rely on the recognition or popularity of the external system to distinguish high and low. I feel very sorry for the anxiety you felt during the Amway process. You tried to express yourself and share yourself through your works, but you were rejected... I don't know if I, as the original author, can give you more comfort or "a power of self-affirmation"? Even the courage to face loneliness and not being understood? However, this is just my wild guess, and it is very possible that you are recommending it purely out of love for this article. This is even more grateful, and there is really nothing I can do in return. Of course, being alone is hard, I know that. I definitely hope that you can have more like-minded people, or close friends who can understand what you love, hurt, think, and think. Even if it is not because of my works, this is something that makes me feel very happy. I want to tell all my current and future readers and friends here that I work hard to create, and one of my highest ideals about literature and art is to turn my life into your language, and then you can use this language to link other individuals, and we will no longer be isolated islands... However, it is precisely after this deeper link between life and life is established, the language itself and even the literary and artistic image itself Instead, it becomes less important. What is really important is that living people in reality truly see each other. Literary and artistic images and even some commercialized literary and artistic symbols should not be reduced to a gorgeous and empty robe that covers the reality that may be crawling with lice. It should be the language flowing in our blood and pulse, the language flowing between life and life, and the bridge connecting individuals. So, what is true fandom? Why do I mention fan spirit here? Because my understanding of fan spirit is built into my creative outlook, that is, "the other half of the work is completed by the readers." It is also the spiritual theme of this reply... The true fan spirit is to truly see and respect the feelings of each individual. In other words, in this article There is no so-called real authority in the art world. No matter how strange the interpretation or re-creation of the original work is, it can be respected and seen. Therefore, we enrich each other in this mutual support, move towards a true blooming of a hundred flowers, and achieve true literary and artistic prosperity. In this prosperity, a group love link is created. Therefore, even if my work is created by me, I do not think that I am an authority. It does not mean that if I change the text, the new version will be the most correct and unquestionable. This is absolutely not the case. The unique sensibility of each individual is an existence that is more worthy of cherishing. Therefore, when you have repeatedly read the original version, you have actually re-created it in your mind. Even if it is not written out, those feelings are fleeting and precious. So I don't have any dissatisfaction at all because my new version was rejected. The only thing that makes me sad is that I worked very hard, but in the end I still failed to live up to the expectations of some people, and even the expectations of some of the people who had the deepest expectations for me. To me, this is indeed a backfired absurdity that is often unavoidable in life. Moreover, I hope that we are having completely equal, individual communication, because after all, I am the author, and I have the power to change my works, but readers are in a weaker position in this structure and can only passively accept it. I hope that the respect I express can make you feel that this power structure has been dismantled, and that we are having completely equal exchanges about literature and art... I always uphold the spirit of fandom, which means that in order to maintain The tears, quarrels, and even hatred that arise over what a certain image must be like should not happen at all. Even if I am the original author, I do not want to maintain the authority of "what an image must be like." Because this kind of quarrel is actually meaningless at all, because this kind of quarrel puts a certain absolute belief in literary and artistic images above the respect and visibility of the life experience of living individuals in reality. This is a person who loves virtuality but not reality. So even though I will explain my editing ideas carefully below, it is not to defend and say "I think Achao and Achen should be like this". No, no, you can even think that although I am the original author, I am also writing about my past colleagues, and in your eyes, through repeated reading, you see your favorite Achao and Achen. Even if they are not exactly the same as what I imagined, they are still equally precious. This is just a sharing and exchange of creative ideas, not to argue about "how the image should be written." There is no right or wrong here, and the question itself should not have been raised - in essence, we are communicating in the form of works, not arguing about what the image should be. I will pay attention to what you mentioned in your comments about the brilliance and emotion I saw in the original version. This makes me feel honored and affirmed, and I am very grateful to you. Therefore, my sharing of ideas for editing the text below is also equivalent to me from the perspective of a reader. I am completely equal to you, individual to individual, to share the various feelings I experienced from the text during the creative process. Of course, I know that my opinion may not be accepted by many people, because nowadays, far more than just fan communities, the maintenance of certain literary and artistic images that should conform to certain characteristics has almost evolved into a fanatical belief. Groups with different preferences compete for the power of how literary and artistic images should be written, and even the right to say how a certain fan article should be evaluated... This A series of mutual attacks, disputes, insults and even developed into hatred, too many to count... So much so that when I was writing this paragraph, I shed tears several times. I had to stop for a while before I could continue writing, because I thought of too many realities that were contrary to my ideals. I actually think these hatreds are ignorant and hateful, but I can't seem to change anything. Even if I express this view here, I am not sure whether I will be attacked if it is screenshotted and posted on an external social platform in the future. However, at least I have to do this myself and integrate knowledge and action. If I don't even dare to express it, how can I dare to say that I can persevere in practicing this value in the future? Also, thank you for your comments, because expression requires courage, and any truly sincere expression deserves to be encouraged, seen, and taken seriously. In fact, you don't have to say "I'm sorry" to me, because what I feel more is your affirmation and love for the original version. Even if you still cannot accept the new version in the end, this does not constitute a blow or a denial to me. How to interpret and like it or not is a matter of individual freedom. Rather, I made you feel disappointed. This is a more sad failure for your long-term expectations. Moreover, there may be readers who feel the same way as you, but they didn't say it. The fact that you are willing to feedback your feelings to me is already worthy of my gratitude. You may think this is a negative review, but to me it is sincere and valuable feedback, and it is far better than no response at all. At least your feedback gives me an opportunity to express my gratitude and apology to all potential readers who have the same feelings about this. In short, after the above-mentioned prerequisites and the attitudes that should be adhered to in communication were clarified, I can finally explain my motivations and ideas for revising the article with relative peace of mind. Because I don't want my explanation to make you feel that what you like is denied or your feelings are ignored, I must first emphasize that the most fundamental attitude I communicate here is to respect and cherish the readers' individual feelings. Then, if you still can't accept the new version after I explain it, it's okay. However, if you are still thinking about something when this article is finished, I still hope you can come and take a look at the ending. Of course, you may not understand it just by looking at the ending, so you can pay attention to reading the volume "Reincarnation Tribulation". Only by reading this volume can you truly understand A Chen's hardships along the way and the feelings between him and A Chao. The depth of love... In other words, I don't want to leave you with regrets because of my editing. In fact, the beginning of the new version is mainly a partial supplement, adding content that was missed in the first version but should actually be written. However, this also led to a change in the narrative style, so there were some choices in details compared to the original version. In other words, I don't want this story to always stay at a relatively sad discontinuity in your heart. The hard waiting and more tragic parts in the front have been read, but the happy and beautiful parts and the more unforgettable love in the back have been missed. What I expected all the time ended up in regret, which is more regrettable than most regrets... Moreover, no matter how difficult the reality is, I always insist on completing it, and it is also because of my stubbornness, just like Achen in Qianjiang Night Snow Chapter, he wants to go home no matter what the price, I am here In this book, the final and most important power that I want to convey is an extremely strong desire to live that comes from love. If you have read the sad and despairing part above, in the end, the positive power of living toward death has not been conveyed to you. It is equivalent to eating the bitter food but missing the sweetness. This is a very sad thing for me, because the core spiritual power that I want to convey most has not been conveyed to the old readers who have had deep expectations for this article because of my lack of ability (I often think about how great it would be if I could make 10,000). Moreover, the outline of this article has not changed from beginning to end. The first volume has been rewritten, but it is only an addition. In other words, if you really cannot accept the new version of the first volume, you can not read it, and there will be no major changes in the second volume. Not reading the new first volume does not prevent you from understanding the subsequent third, fourth, fifth, and sixth volumes (that is, the plot after A Chen wakes up). Not reading the new version will only miss some echoing details, but the impact on understanding the subsequent content is still limited, at least it will not be incomprehensible. Of course, I'm not forcing you to read it. I'm not that self-righteous, and I don't think my works are important to that extent. Although my emotions are often overflowing, I often wonder whether my overflowing emotional expressions are inappropriate in the eyes of others. At this moment, I am just out of a deep sense of regret. I want to express a beautiful expectation, in which there is no regret. And I have always wanted to be the kind of author who is completely worthy of my readers. I especially want to make you feel that your waiting has not been let down by meeting the quality that I require. But in fact, it is not what I want and I can do it all. Feelings about literature are often very personal. Maybe some people liked the brilliance expressed by me when my writing was still immature. But now my writing is much more mature and I have repeatedly refined it. However, the loss of that spirit has caused people to lose their love back then. Perhaps, the only thing I still have the confidence to promise is that the next few volumes of this book will definitely not be unfinished. I have always been the kind of author who likes the second half of the story to be more exciting than the first half. Just like the Hope volume, the story advances layer by layer, and the emotions are pushed to the breaking point step by step... The next few volumes will also have this kind of high-speed curve, and its ending will definitely make you feel very thrilling. I am so persistent just to achieve it, in order to reach the best ending... Even the second half of the Gong'e Chronicles I dare to promise that it will definitely be better than the first half. I even dare to boast that I will take you to witness a miracle that can only happen in the world of literature and art, a miracle about love and the power of life. In this way, I finally come to answer this question: What prompted me to decide to revise my essay? In fact, the most fundamental reason is very clear: I decided to revise the text out of strict requirements on the quality of the work, and this decision did not only happen in the past two years, but as early as 2019, when the first volume was just finished (that is, all the content before the hope), I knew completely that I did not write the first volume well, especially the conflict part of the emotional drama, which almost collapsed - at least it did not achieve the effect I wanted to achieve in the outline. What should this effect be like? In terms of the intensity of the emotional conflict, we should focus on the three chapters at the end of "The Unsaid Bell's Life and Death Contract". Because I never said it, everyone doesn't know that at the end of the original volume one, that is, at the end of the Secret Realm chapter, I cut off a section of the outline. There was supposed to be a farewell scene, but after I finished writing the dispute scene, I found that the effect was not achieved, so the original farewell scene couldn't be developed at all. Even if I had written it out, the effect would not have been very good... So I cut off this part of the outline, cut into the second volume, and went directly to write the second volume. Later, I realized that if I wanted to write the emotional explosion in the first volume to have the effect I wanted, then I had to have them directly confront each other on the issue of life and death from the beginning - it was too late to start from the secret chapter. As a result, I have to explain in depth from the beginning why A Chao wants to die so much... In fact, until the end of the original version, there is no real explanation of why A Chao wants to die in this life, because this part should actually be explained in the first volume, and it needs to be explained from the beginning. By the time it is postponed to the second volume, there is no narrative space to talk about. And this is not the only thing missing in the first volume. There is no detailed explanation of Achen's psychological changes, motivations, etc. After his rebirth. For example, this story should unfold in the order ABCDEFG... But due to my lack of ability, I skipped the B and C that should have been written in the middle, so the first volume has always been a incomplete volume in my opinion. But the missing B and C cannot be added later, that is, it is impossible to put them between or after the EFG. This operation violates the normal narrative logic and will cause the structure of the entire story to collapse even more. Therefore, if I want to make up for these missing contents, I must rewrite the first volume. So why do I have to revise the text at this time? In fact, I originally planned to wait until the full text was completed before revising it. However, in the past few years, although the main text is still in Gong'e Ji, I have actually started to write the content behind the main line, and I have made many drafts. Then I discovered that the missing BC has an impact on the entire story, because the plot points ABCDEFG are not only connected up and down, but also related to each other. In other words, B will not only affect C, C will not only affect D, but B will also affect D, affect E... If B and C are always missing in my article, then even the subsequent introduction of EFG will not be sufficient or reasonable enough. Therefore, this is the most important reason. In order to allow Volume 3456 to unfold better, I must rewrite Volume 1 at this time. Next is the change in the narrative style at the beginning. In fact, the opening chapter, or the overall narrative framework of the entire first volume, did not suddenly become like this. I said in the composition that it has gone through seven major versions, and there are many subdivided versions under each major version. In the first few versions, I still retained some relaxed narrative styles, including details such as Achao still trying to eat a hot meal, but in the end, I chose to adopt the version that is almost the most desperate in terms of narrative atmosphere. In fact, there is an important factor in this, that is, this article is actually a circular narrative, which is ABCDEFG. In fact, A and G finally discovered that they are connected at the end and become a narrative circle. Moreover, in terms of narrative techniques, the present life line is often a kind of memory display of past life experiences. In this sense, the technique used is even close to the overall flashback technique. But what is the difficulty of the overall flashback + circular narrative? If I don't really write out the content of the previous life, and don't really write out the ending, which is G, but just have an outline, then I actually can't really grasp the atmosphere that the beginning should have - yes, that's what I was like back then. I only had an outline, and the atmosphere at the beginning can be said to be written almost without thinking... But in the past few years, I have After I typed out the draft of the ending and enriched many details of Ah Chao's experience and mentality in his previous life for thousands of years, I re-adjusted the atmosphere of the beginning based on these contents. I discovered that he was indeed so desperate at the beginning, because this was not a real new beginning for him, but the final break after suffering for too long, and the concentrated explosion of all the despair accumulated in the previous life. So I would say that in my eyes there is no essential change in the characters, it's just that the state I presented at the beginning has changed. Of course Ah Chao still loves food, but when he was completely cut off from life at the beginning, appetite was a symbol of vitality. In this case, it was impossible for him to think of eating (this was something that the immature me at the time did not notice). All he could think about was wanting to die orz Moreover, his appetite was reduced along with his vitality. It did not happen after he was reborn, but at the end of his previous life when he fell into a lonely situation. This was already the case—— "He used to cherish and love food very much, but now, almost every kind of food has actually 'died' in his heart. As long as he tastes the familiar taste, he will once again think of those emotions and memories when he shared these dishes with his deceased friends... But it is precisely these emotions and these memories that he can no longer bear or recall, so together with the food itself, he can no longer bear those familiar tastes... He hasn't eaten for a long time, and he can't remember how long it has been." The above manuscript was copied directly from a certain version of the document that I revised that year. It was for this reason that I firmly removed the part about him working hard to cook and eat at the beginning. And as for the final state of his previous life, according to my current narrative design, it will be narrated in the Yunlu chapter (that is, the fourth volume). In other words, if you had not asked, everyone might not know this information until the fourth volume. However, his deep love for food has not really changed. As Achen gradually succeeds in his redemption, his will to live will recover, and his appetite will also recover along with his will to live... In the Yunlu chapter, he will also develop many new dishes for Achen and his new friends. As for Ah Chen, of course he is still the surviving son of the Gu family who is obsessed with proving the truth. It's just that in the first edition, I confused his mentality at different stages, or it was missing or not written out. In fact, at different stages, the connotations of his obsession with enlightenment are different. In the end, when all his relatives and friends in the previous life were lost, he wanted to achieve enlightenment rather than kill himself... And I didn't even explain how he recognized A Chao in the first edition (because according to the drafts of the following volumes, he should not be able to recognize A Chao at a glance in the initial state. This is actually a bug that must be fixed). And because his physical condition has not changed much compared to the previous life, He also cannot realize his rebirth immediately (this is also a bug that must be fixed, otherwise it will conflict with the later chapters), so at the beginning, before he realizes that Achao is Achao and realizes that he is reborn, his mentality should still be in the previous life, that kind of "there is no hope for living" state. This is something I didn't show in the first version, or I didn't think it through at all. I only had an outline back then, and the story only had a skeleton and no flesh and blood. Then, in the new edition, which will be updated soon, in the next chapter, after he accepts his rebirth, the connotation of his obsession with enlightenment will change... And in the new edition, compared with the original version, I will add many reasons why he is so obsessed, and truly explain his obsession in depth - this is in the first edition, I did not realize that it should be explained in the first volume, I thought these contents Rong should be concentrated in the second volume, but after sorting out the whole story countless times in the past few years, I found that these contents should actually be placed in the first volume, and then the emotional drama in the first volume can really unfold. Not only is it too late to postpone it to the second volume, but the second volume is a rescue operation as the main line, and there is not much narrative space to explain the cause of his obsession in detail. Also, A Chen is actually very reserved and few words to the outside world. Why is there so much dialogue in the emotional scene at the beginning? Because even if A Chao has not really known each other, he has already accumulated too many feelings in his past life for thousands of years. It is difficult for him to express those feelings without using so many words... Also, I definitely did not deliberately make A Chen stupid. In fact, in the new version, I tried very hard to explain the motivations and logical thinking behind his every behavior, hoping that his actions would look more reasonable and natural. Orz, I am actually not sure what makes him look stupider? Maybe it's because some of his reactions are a little slow? But that's actually because he encountered too many major changes one after another after waking up. He couldn't accept it mentally for a while, and it was actually difficult to react emotionally... Wuwuwu, they have been accompanying me all the time, which is very, very important to me and cannot be lost. I definitely didn't mean to write Achen as stupid orz. If it caused this effect unintentionally, I am really sorry. Then, Ah Chen went to save Shi Qi without hesitation. There is no change here, because the new version is not so much a deletion as a supplement. The skeleton of the first version is okay, and the appearances of Yue Shuyan and Shi Qi are necessary in the narrative... So it is normal that the new version can smoothly transition to the mine chapter, because the skeleton has not changed, but flesh and blood has been added. However, the new version of the Mine Chapter also fixed a lot of bugs when introducing the world view. Finally, the real purpose of the narrative of Shenjiao is just to elicit an information point, which is the scene that A Chen recalled, and to help A Chen confirm A Chao's identity. In fact, I didn't highlight the ambiguity here, just thinking about it. It's actually CP, I can't write too dry here, I just wanted to make it a little bit funny orz. Even taking off the shirt at the back is also a foreshadowing. You will know this foreshadowing when you see it later. On the one hand, it is to give Ah Chen an excuse to "kill his life", and on the other hand, it is also foreshadowing. Later, the outside world misunderstood that they were a couple (that is, the title of the novel, the whole world thought... This was not obvious in the first version), and Ah Chao was already in a state of wanting to die. He would certainly not be so offensive under normal circumstances. What I want to highlight here is his madness and despair, and Ah Chen's faint sympathy and tolerance. In fact, I was a little hesitant when I wrote it, but in the end I felt that this would not harm the nature of the character, and even my main purpose was to add a bit of comedy orz In fact, although the atmosphere at the beginning was very heavy in the end, the relaxed comedy style will return in the following volumes, especially the Yunlu chapter. It's not that the personal changes in my life in recent years have caused me to be unable to write in a light comedy style, but based on the draft of the following text, in order to avoid conflict, I finally chose the version and style that best connects with the ending among various styles and versions of the beginning, and it happens to be heavy. In short, thank you very much for reading. I once again emphasize that these explanations are not to prove anything, but I hope it can provide some comfort and help build a sense of familiarity. If it still doesn't work, it's okay. Regardless of whether you will wait and see the ending in the end, this will not reduce the weight and meaning of your previous love. Rather, it is ultimately my lack of ability in all aspects that led to this situation, and I am really sorry. (Finally, if you want to back up the old version, you may create a network disk link and send it out privately through social media? But I don't actually use any social media now, and I have to open another orz temporarily)
Please note that the first volume of this article (chapters 1-91) is being overhauled and replaced; originally, the new version has been replaced with Chapter 66, but now I find that the narrative structure of the first volume of the new version needs to be adjusted in an inverted manner. The emotional scenes that were originally placed at the back have to be moved to the beginning, and the most important emotional interactions are written from the beginning; Therefore, the first 66 chapters that have been replaced will soon be replaced again; but in general, the content of the new version remains unchanged, and this change is just a reversal of the narrative sequence. For old readers, you can see the new emotional drama content in the new version more quickly; for a more detailed announcement about the changes in the narrative structure of the new version, please see Chapter 66's remarks and comment area~
Sorry, the new version of the Xihe Chapter and the Emperor Chapter cannot be posted directly for the time being; because the more I write, the more I find that the emotional drama in the second half of the first volume needs to be preceded, that is, the subsequent plot needs to be mentioned directly at the beginning. As for the first volume of the current version (that is, the version that was just released in September 25), there are currently more than 60 chapters, excluding the Xihe chapter. These contents will be broken up and streamlined in the new narrative structure of the next version, and then inserted into the emotional drama in the form of flashbacks. That is to say, the content of the current version is basically unchanged, but I decided to invert the narrative structure (which also means streamlining part of the content to make it more detailed). Only in this way can we improve the current version's problem of too long opening chapters and too many information points. Therefore, the next version will cut directly to the beginning of the secret chapter of the first version. Compared with the first version, it will add many fresh and lively new emotional interactions. Compared with the narrative structure of the current version, the reading experience will definitely be better, the rhythm will be much brighter, and the important information points will not be as dense as now, making it easier and more enjoyable to read. (Also, the narrative points of the new version of Xihe Chapter and Emperor Chapter will also change in the next version) I am currently working on the emotional scenes that should have been put in the second half of the first volume, because I have accumulated a lot of drafts. Generally speaking, the writing is very smooth, and some drafts even just need to be sorted out. So I'm very sorry, wait until I replace it again. Dear readers who have read the first edition and the 2509 edition, please start from the beginning again—— "But this is not actually a repeat reading!" That's the important point. Instead, I brought the later content to the front. What you see from the beginning again will be the new content that I originally planned to put at the end (it really adds a lot of new content! It's both sweet and funny!) As for the specific replacement time and progress, you can pay attention to the announcements I will keep updating in this building. I may post it as I write, or I may post this part first after writing a major plot point. As for overall, how long will it take to complete the replacement? In fact, compared to the original replacement schedule, the current total project volume has only increased some parts of how to conceive and insert the narrative (the content is basically the same, the narrative sequence and structure have changed a bit), and I am writing the emotional drama part very smoothly, so it will probably take another 1-2 months. Bow again sorry and thank you all! (Stayed on January 25, 2026)
I'm very happy that the articles I like have finally started to be updated. Although I am re-editing the previous articles, it makes me feel that there is hope in waiting. But it doesn't feel as good as the old article. I've read everything the author said and I know why the article was changed. The first 40 chapters did not leave the Novice Village. They stretched out 40 chapters from the starting point, and most of them were dialogues and psychological descriptions. I know it may be to correspond with the subsequent plot, but it is really a bit complicated, and there are so many meaningless contents that it is difficult for me to read. The plot of two people fighting each other is too long, and it does not greatly advance the main plot. It is a bit like writing an argumentative essay in high school to make up for the word count. But the plot of the two separated after Chapter 40 was very good. I still like the author's writing style.
It feels like two elementary school chickens quarreling. The author has written everything, and it feels like there is no suspense, no thinking, no name, and a little plot can write 30 chapters.
It's too late, Zhaozhao baby, eh eh 😍
After reading this chapter, I suddenly thought of an interesting correspondence. What Ah Chao showed above was "fear of causes". He was afraid of the possible consequences of interacting with others, so he was unwilling to get along with others in the first place. What Chuser showed here was "fear of consequences", and he began to avoid the struggle after seeing the consequences.

Ah Chen will never hurt his family
Reading this chapter is really a relief. Although there is still an undercurrent, it is not so tense. Yue Nansi said that Lu Xinrui would not take advantage of her. I think this may be the greatest trust that Yue Nansi can give.
