(Banana Fish + Katekyo Hitman Reborn) Dawn

After finishing Banana Fish, I really wanted to write a story. I didn't want Ash to die like that. But after I started, I realized I couldn't write it no matter what. For someone like Ash, who had suffered so much, dying while holding on to a beautiful dream was the best possible ending. It was the best thing for him.

But I still don't want him to die.

The first time I heard of Banana Fish was after watching No. 6. I heard that the author's Rat was a tribute to Ash. I personally think that perhaps No. 6 is a fairy tale because the author couldn't bear to see Ash die.

So I finished this story after all. It's told from the perspective of Iwai Haru, the protagonist of my other crossover fanfic, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! + Fate: Salvation. He was saved by the kind people around him, and someone like that would surely never let Ash give up on life and die.
