Transmigrating into the Exile Novel's Foil

My new novel, "After Collecting Rent in Ancient Times, I Lie Flat," is now underway. If you're interested, come take a look~ Yun Jiao transmigrates into the foil character in a story about exile. In the novel's plot, the original character and the heroine are both exiled to Ti Prefecture. The heroine, Chu Sheng, transmigrates from the apocalypse. She kills the official who tries to assault a young girl, steals a grain wagon, and leads the elderly, women, and children in exile on a desperate flight southwest. She clears the land and builds a city, creating a refuge in a miasma-ridden region. She becomes everyone's hero. The original character is a delicate, lovely parasitic flower who can't do anything right. She can't even keep up with the others as they flee, so she gives up and stays behind, taking three flatbreads and setting out to make her own way. In the end, she's deceived in love and used for her body, falls into poverty, and starves to death in an alley. When Yun Jiao transmigrates, all she has are three flatbreads. She tries to bite into one, and nearly breaks a tooth. Ti Prefecture, a barbaric land of exile, is practically unfit for human habitation. The land is damp and crawling with poisonous insects and snakes. Yun Jiao, whose medical knowledge is just beginning: Snakes and bugs can be used in medicine, brewed into liquor, or cooked into snake soup. I need two more snakes for this jar of medicinal liquor. The climate is hot and humid, and miasma is everywhere. Yun Jiao, the medicinal cuisine enthusiast: Drink medicinal tea every day to keep miasma from entering the body. Also, let's get this land-clearing and expansion underway, pronto. The mountains are steep, and the roads are treacherous. Many years later, the land people once avoided like the plague has been transformed. Rice is planted in forests teeming with snakes and insects. The original place name overlapped with a real one, so the exile destination has been changed to Ti (fourth tone) Prefecture. 4.
