My new book, The Villain's Zither, is now out. Please add it to your library!
This is a not-quite-typical reborn romance: a story about a cold-faced man chasing his wife after losing her, and a stubborn tsundere transforming into a man who can hold up the sky. Nan An's love began in childhood and ended on her wedding night. Gu Zhishen's love began the moment Nan An stopped loving him. Gu Zhishen used to be afraid to look into Nan An's eyes. He always felt there was a fire in them, and avoided it at all costs, afraid it would burn him to ashes, leaving not even a scrap behind. Much later, one day, when he recalled their past, when one pursued and the other fled, he smiled and likened that fire to a star. "I couldn't bear to let that star disappear, so all I could do was protect it." Someone asked him, "Where is the star?" Gu Zhishen replied, "In the past, whenever she looked at me." "And now?" Gu Zhishen answered, "She says she's leaving." Note: I originally planned to set the story in the Han dynasty, but the characters' development later strayed from history, so I decided to make it a fictional setting. No need to nitpick the historical details.
The next book is now out: Beauty Raised in Luxury. Please add it to your library!
Also known as: The Rainbow Gown I Give You; One Taste and You Can't Stop; The Obsessive One's Longing
With a sea of flowers in one hand and purgatory in the other, he comes to her.
Su Ruo's blurb: Su Ruo's father is the Marquis of Nan'an, and her mother is Madam Duanhui. She should have been born to a life of luxury. But after a sudden upheaval, her father is convicted and exiled, and the marquis's estate is seized. In an instant, old friends distance themselves, and even her closest relatives look on coldly. She is left with nothing but a face as enchanting as a demon's and as beautiful as an immortal's. Little does she know that this face has now become a fatal burden.
When Su Ruo first meets Wei Xu, he lifts a cup of murky wine with one hand amid the clinking of cups, casually swirling it as he casts her a glance. His eyes are like a deep pool. In that instant, Su Ruo thinks of the breeze, the ocean, and the wisp of smoke that never fades from the summit of a snow-covered mountain.
Later, Wei Xu rises to the highest rank in the court, plots a palace coup and a rebellion, kills the emperor and the royal family, and lets Chang'an run red with blood. Only then does Su Ruo realize that the saying, "In Chang'an, some think of Wei Lang as a god, while others hate him like a demon," is absolutely true.
She thought marrying Wei Xu would be the beginning of a nightmare. Instead, it turns out to be her lifelong escape.
Excerpt:
Wei Xu grabs Su Ruo and pins her against the corner of the table, his voice hoarse as he asks, "You really don't recognize me anymore, hmm?"
Su Ruo: "I..."
Wei Xu narrows his eyes, presses himself against her, and bites her lip. "What about now?"
Wei Xu's blurb: Lord Wei is getting married! All the young women in the capital who were waiting to be wed are heartbroken. But the groom himself doesn't seem to care. He eats and sleeps as usual, still getting up early and coming home late to work on his career.
Then one day, he finds Su Ruo eyeing a plate of walnut pastries on the table, practically drooling.
"Never had one?"
"Mm..."
Tsk, isn't a daughter supposed to be raised in luxury? What was that pack of curs in the marquis's household thinking?
"Want one?"
"Mm!"
Who knew that after one taste, he wouldn't be able to stop? This isn't a marriage at all. It's raising a little one, and it's incredibly rewarding.
Reading guide, October 9, 2019: They met when they were young and poor. He remembers her; she doesn't remember him. This isn't a typical sweet romance. There's growth and striving, and the female lead will grow stronger. The second male lead is reborn.
Theme:
No. Why did Li Jie suddenly become the emperor's son???
Even though I'm going to complain, I'd still like to cheer you up.
Damn, I really want to see the extra story after the death of the heroine in the previous life.
Ah Shen failed in pursuit of his wife. The others are all handsome!!
Ah Shen: The car overturned. Am I your biological child??!!! Next time my car rolls over, I will really cry for you!!
Why is it so short???!!! Today it's Xiaojun
Ah Shen, don't cry, you are my biological son! Look, I'll give you a driver's license in the next chapter!
I think the character descriptions are quite three-dimensional. I really like the war scenes, they are very exciting and not ruined. Come on! How can a crematorium be used for this kind of man who chases his wife to the crematorium if he is forgiven from the beginning?! If you don't abuse it too much and do it repeatedly, then what does the author write?!
What a great ink mark, right? It's just because the male protagonist didn't like her in the previous life, but he didn't hurt her even if he didn't like her. It was just a grudge. As for this life, he always uses this to make excuses.
