This story is complete. My new story, The Ghost That Chased Me for Five Hundred Years, is currently being serialized.
Born with a once-in-a-thousand-years bad-luck constitution and the ability to see ghosts, this young man has been reincarnated a hundred times, but never once lived past the age of twenty.
Transmigration is the soul’s journey to its destination. Who could have expected two souls to end up in one body, setting off a daily battle with his own second personality?
Su Mu: Come on, explain to me what on earth is going on here!
Author: Ahem, ahem... Trust me, this is definitely not a routine error with the Transmigration System. Keep reading, keep reading.
Su Mu: Author, get back here... Don’t run! You’re the one I’m hitting!
Crown Prince: You’re not the guardian deity, nor the Chief Priest of Great Wu. You’re the one in my heart.
Chief Priest: Enough with the cheesy pickup lines. Just tell me, knowing full well that the road ahead is a pit of fire, are you willing to jump in with me?
You jump, I jump!
-----------Break line (the serious blurb begins below)-----------
Ever since transmigrating to this strange place, Su Mu has known he has some unusual abilities. But this bizarre transformation was beyond anything he could have expected, to the point that he began to wonder whether he still counted as human.
But the moment he saw the Crown Prince that day, he fell for him. He had never been in love before and didn’t know what it felt like, and to make matters worse, the other person was a seven-foot-tall man just like him.
The vast Eastern Palace bedchamber held only Su Mu and the Crown Prince. Dressed in white, Su Mu stood tall, looking at the clearly written lines on the scroll in his hand. In disbelief, he demanded of the Crown Prince, “You knew all along!”
The usually proud Crown Prince seemed less confident now. He lowered his head and answered, “Yes.”
Su Mu frowned deeply. “Why?”
The Crown Prince didn’t dare look at Su Mu. He simply lowered his long lashes toward the floor and said quietly, “I was afraid you’d... hate me.”
At those words, Su Mu’s heart gave a sudden jolt.
When the Emperor sentenced the Chief Priest, the Crown Prince rushed into the hall without a thought for his own safety, trying to grab Su Mu’s hand as the guards dragged him away. He screamed and sobbed hysterically, repeating his plea to his father: “The White Dragon True God, the prophet sent to this world, he’s the only one who can save Great Wu! Only he can save Great Wu, Father!”
But the Emperor was already tired of hearing the same old excuse. It had all been a lie concocted by that old scoundrel Lin Muyang. Without even looking at the Crown Prince, he ordered the two of them forcibly separated and Su Yi’an taken away.
From that moment on, the Crown Prince was determined to give up his position as Crown Prince and abandon this hopeless kingdom. He wanted nothing except Su Mu, and he was willing to sacrifice anything for him.
So it was all because of me.
