The Whole World Hopes I'll Climb Into the Dragon Bed

"I will never make you empress in this life. I will only rule alongside you as an equal!"

"A hundred years from now, the word 'favorite' will never appear in the history books."

Wu Man, a dashing young general, suffered a disastrous defeat and was condemned to serve in the imperial palace overnight.

It was said that the current emperor, Xiao Yu, was cruel and debauched, with a particular fondness for male favorites.

Wu Man thought he was doomed to languish in prison, never to see the light of day.

Who would have thought Xiao Yu would cherish him and shower him with every kind of favor?

Rare treasures? Bestow them!

High office and handsome rewards? Grant them!

Anyone dares bully him? Beat them to death!

What? You've taken a liking to my empire? ...Well, how about we share the throne?

Wu Man nervously sought out the chief eunuch and asked, "Is our court this generous to defeated generals?"

The chief eunuch rolled his eyes as discreetly as he could, thinking: Is this what you call generosity? This is clearly favoritism! Do you even know what 'defeated general' means?

Can a forbidden love, one that leaves the entire court speechless, possibly have a happy ending?

[Short scene]

The emperor rubbed his face against the crook of Wu Man's shoulder. "Read me a bedtime story?"

The young general's face was cold. "Which would Your Majesty like: Wuzi, Sunzi, or The Eight Formation Strategies?"

The emperor pouted. "Can't you read me something like The Plum in the Golden Vase?"

A cool, calculating emperor seme, a master of sweet talk, x a hesitant, adorably sweet defeated-general uke

The dynasty is fictional! No real-life inspirations.
