Hey, Want Some Candy?

Inside the villa, the boy sat on the sofa with commanding ease. Behind him, an antique clock ticked away, its steady rhythm sending a chill through the room.

A girl's soft, timid voice drifted over. "Brother Qin, would you like some candy?"

A few White Rabbit candies rested in her fair, tender palm.

The boy scoffed disdainfully. "Who wants candy?"

A new transfer student joined the class. Her features were delicate, her voice gentle, and when she smiled, her eyes seemed to brim with tiny, sparkling stars.

She became the first love of every boy in class, but none of them dared make a move, because Qin Fang, the class bully, seemed to especially dislike her.

No one knew that in the villa's hallway, beneath the dim yellow lights, the tall boy had cornered the petite girl in a cramped nook and threatened her: "Don't give candy to anyone else!"

The girl's cheeks flushed as she obediently handed over all the candy in her pocket. "Brother Qin... it's... it's all yours..."

So Brother Qin was the kind of person who said one thing but meant another. Was he afraid people would find out he liked candy?

As if reading her thoughts, the boy snorted. "Who likes candy?" What I like is you, little cutie.
