The Days I Taught in the Mortal World

Also known as I Accidentally Dumped the Demon Realm's Lord, The Tyrannical Lord Fell in Love with Me, The Demon Lord Doesn't Want to Break Up, and The Demon Lord Wants to Date Too. 1. Lin Gaixi was an immortal from Penglai. To save his mother from the heavenly prison, he came to the mortal realm to teach and accrue merit. He got up earlier than a dog and went to bed later than an ox every day, yet his merit barely increased at all. Lin Gaixi cried out inwardly: Can't merit just fall from the sky? And so, the Demon Realm's Lord fell from the sky. How much merit would converting the Demon Realm's Lord earn him? Lin Gaixi was overjoyed. He'd found his KPI, and off he went with it. The Demon Realm's Lord, Tian Shiyan, had no parents, his elder brother's whereabouts were unknown, and he was being hunted by the heavenly soldiers and generals. Gravely wounded and with nowhere left to turn, he fell into the mountain behind the school. Tian Shiyan had already given up on life, but the instant Lin Gaixi rescued him, his whole world arrived. Everyone said the Demon Realm's Lord, Tian Shiyan, was deranged, cruel, bloodthirsty, and burdened with grave sins. Only Lin Gaixi knew that Tian Shiyan had kept the jade tiger Lin Gaixi carved for him when they were children, and that his heart was still pure. Lin Gaixi had fallen for him long ago, but was afraid of repeating his mother's fate, so he couldn't bring himself to take that step. By the time he finally worked up the courage to love Tian Shiyan... he discovered Tian Shiyan had been waiting for him all along. 2. Lin Gaixi knew his origins were unusual. To avoid repeating his mother's fate, he absolutely could not develop mortal feelings and suffer a love tribulation. Yet as he spent time with Tian Shiyan, he couldn't help falling for him. More than once, Lin Gaixi suspected the other man was deliberately flirting with him. But no matter what, he had to suppress these feelings he shouldn't have... After becoming the Demon Realm's Lord, Tian Shiyan rescued captured demon generals, weakened the power of the clans and the Council of Elders, cultivated to the divine-demon realm, and received envoys from the four demon kingdoms. In just a few decades, he made the Demon Realm feared once more by all the realms. Yet beneath his iron-fisted, domineering exterior, he held nothing but boundless tenderness for Lin Gaixi... He was simply afraid Lin Gaixi would distance himself if he learned how Tian Shiyan felt, so he kept those feelings buried deep. After years of mutual pining, one day, at last, their secret could no longer be kept, and their feelings spread like wildfire... Bonus scene: While Tian Shiyan was unconscious, Lin Gaixi secretly kissed him. Tian Shiyan immediately opened his eyes. "Gaixi, you took advantage of me while I was unconscious. You have to take responsibility." Lin Gaixi: "?" Tian Shiyan: "I don't care. I've lost my innocence. You're a teacher, so are you really going to seduce me and then abandon me?" Lin Gaixi: "...Only a fool would believe this demon cares about his innocence!" A harmless-looking scholar who actually slays demons without blinking A decisive and ruthless Demon Lord who is actually hopelessly love-struck A breathtakingly beautiful, refined, kind, and very prideful teacher x a commanding, overbearing Demon Realm's Lord with a silver tongue and a talent for sweet talk Younger gong, 1v1, childhood friends, love at first sight, childhood sweethearts Warning: the protagonist follows the unfeeling path. A world built on Eastern mythology, not traditional xianxia. A protagonist who grows over time. The bonus chapters are extra sweet. Thanks to the lovely reader who wrote the blurb. Theme: A kindred spirit is hard to find. Grow together.
