Blurb:

Wei Ke was unfortunate: his father was a lowly horse slave, and his mother was a wet nurse for the Wei family.

But he also felt he was lucky enough.

He had met a young lady and been able to study under her.

Step by step, he rose from the son of a horse slave to a man with great power. He assassinated kings and emperors, ended the age of chaos, and finally earned the right to stand before the young lady.

She had once been his master, his mother, his teacher, and his elder sister.

But now, he wanted her to be his wife, his empress.

-

Wei Ci was born into the prominent Hedong Wei clan, a family of great prestige and generations of officials.

Neither of her first two marriages had been her choice.

She killed her first husband with her own hands, then divorced her second husband for the sake of her family.

She had no intention of marrying again, but the child she had raised herself stood before her, asking her to give him a chance, and herself one too.

Wei Ci hesitated.

-

When Wei Ci killed her first husband with her own hands, the world called her a wicked woman for the ages.

When she was forced to divorce her second husband, the world pitied her for being bullied by a princess.

Now, that princess had become a princess of a fallen dynasty, and Wei Ci was entering her third marriage: as the founding empress.
