-- A story set in a parallel world, whose sole purpose is to raise Tsunayoshi.
-- The man from the first work, Afterglow, takes on the role of his father.
1
"Mister, mister, why can't I call you Dad?" Little Tsunayoshi looks up, tugging at the man's pant leg with a sad expression.
"...You just can't." Calling himself Dad feels far too weird. The man expressionlessly crushes Tsunayoshi's hopes of calling him that. In the next round...
"So you're the ones bullying my son?" The man holds little Tsunayoshi in his arms, gazes down at them with a deadly glare, and coldly demands an answer.
So, Mister, is it fine for you to call yourself your own son's father?
2
"Mister, mister, why don't I have a mom?" Little Tsunayoshi, asking very tactfully where he came from, tugs at the man's finger and points to a mother and child by the roadside.
"...You can call all three women at home Mom." Thinking of the three women in the household and considering how much they had done to raise Tsunayoshi, the man reluctantly tells him.
"So when I grow up, I can marry three brides, right?" Little Tsunayoshi says happily, his big eyes sparkling as he twists the man's words.
No. The man suddenly becomes wary of any woman who comes near little Tsunayoshi, even if she's only a few years old.
Warning: This story has a ton of original worldbuilding.
There are original characters, quite a few of them.
The characters may be out of character, that's on me. All other good things belong to the original work.
There will be a character standing in for Tsunayoshi, but he should return eventually.
I'll add more warnings if I think of any.
Please don't attack the characters. The author is sensitive.
Also, the blurb may change at any time, since this isn't the final version.
