The ABO setting in this story follows my own standards. - Shao Enzhuo discovers an apocalyptic ABO novel whose protagonist shares her name: Dawn. The novel is set two hundred years after a virus destroyed the world. It features a city surrounded by towering walls called the City of Hope. Outside it are man-eating walking corpses. At eighteen, humans differentiate as Alphas or Omegas. To save the world by clearing out the corpses, Alphas must join an organization and leave the City of Hope to fight them. Anyone who resists is killed by the organization. Omegas, who are fertile and can bear children, are placed under strict surveillance. The organization assigns them to Alphas who have earned merit, to ensure the continuation of the human race. Betas are laborers, unnoticed and without status. After a century of conditioning, humanity has grown numb to these grotesque rules that strip people of their freedom and rights. They neither understand how to resist nor dare to. Resist, and the organization will kill you. [Welcome to the end of the world, a place of hope and light.] [Whatever you do, survive.] - During an expedition, Shao Enzhuo suddenly notices that Han Yilü is acting strangely. She follows her out to ask what's wrong, only for the usually cold and unfeeling Han Yilü to grab her in an embrace.
