Some things don't obediently turn out the way you want them to. Sometimes, like in an O. Henry story, they take an unexpected turn. Most people know this, and yet they're still willing to take a chance, calling it a fight against fate. Afterward, everything goes back to how it was: still a complete mess. And when it comes to love, the mess only gets worse.
Only in the end do you realize that those people never felt that way at all. It was just
a one-person show about love, starring a single actor.
