Bringing Calamity to the Nation

I finally finished reading this book, and I have to say, it is a good quality novel. Very organized! But compared to the author who said that the male protagonist in his mind is Ji Ying, I think the male protagonist is Xue Cai, the truly amazing and talented Xue Cai! Ji Ying's short life seemed to be full of glory, like the breeze and the bright moon, but to me, "the gold and jade are on the outside but ruined on the inside". He couldn't let go of his family, forcing himself to wander around and attracting many customers, and he had to give up his debt to Zhaoyi and give up his love. He is the most heartless person, using people's hearts to achieve his own goals, and using his beloved to repay his debts! In the end, although the Ji family had no money to search for and no subordinates to have exclusive power, it just made him feel uneasy. As Xue Cai said, since he has chosen such a path, it is impossible to be pure and flawless, and those who wield power will be untainted. Like Xi He, he seems to be tragic in love, but in fact, neither of them is worthy of love. If he loved her, he would not have imagined that Xihe's life would be ruined by himself. If Xihe really understood love, he wouldn't be able to see clearly what kind of person he loves. Out of love comes sorrow, out of love comes fear, and the final outcome is ugly for both of them. To Chen Yu, Ji Ying is like an emotional scumbag who doesn't take the initiative, refuses, or takes responsibility. He knew clearly what kind of person Shen Yu was and how he treated him, and he was always gentle towards her. Even if Shen Yu confessed his love to him, he would not say "I don't love you, I already have apricot blossoms in my heart." He gently wiped her tears, agreed to the engagement, and gave her to his younger brother to use it to cause disaster in the Four Kingdoms. Perhaps he was worthy of the world and his family, but he was ashamed of Xue Cai and Chen Yu. Xue Cai's Manchu tribe was massacred, and he was not blameless. Shen Yu had never been an emperor's material, but he allowed her to learn strategies. When he said to Xue Cai, "I'm staying with Chen Yu and you," in my opinion, it was more like a high-profile gesture called charity, which he gave to people all over the world. He wrapped himself up in a noble manner, but inside he had no choice but to let the Ji family's dirty deeds go. He was like a clank to Xue Caique. He is not suitable for Baiyi because he is not worthy. Both he and Xihe were self-centered to the extreme and eventually became selfless people. But Xue Cai, nicknamed Bingli, is really worthy of it. It is a great honor to have Xue Cai in the Xue clan. Bearing a blood feud, he did not allow himself to live out the seeds of revenge. He was really broad-minded, but he was still only fifteen years old, eight years apart from Shen Yu forever! "Marry, Chen Yu." It was just five words, but it was a powerful match. The love was thick and tragic. His bloody hands were just to save Chen Yu, to pave the way for her, and to do things she didn't want to do. Chen Yu has been more than a holy mother in this life, but actually lacks strategy. Xue Cai loves her and He Yi stays with her.

In 2010, fifteen years have passed. This book profoundly illustrates the reality that the patriarchal thinking deep down in the hearts of East Asian women is too serious. Except for a very small number of highly educated women at the top of the class who have received higher education and have the ability to change their own destiny, most of the works of other such literary youths show the ubiquitous influence of this patriarchal society on them. Specifically, my loving man, my charming man, ignite me and make you successful. It's so sad to watch a female video and read this. I hope that with the development of the times in the future, people's thoughts will advance and their knowledge and literacy will increase, so that they can watch less of this kind of male-dominated works.

July 15, 2019 12:40 pm I finally finished reading this book. It took me a whole day in the dead of night. The story was not that long, but I read it very slowly. I read the story word by word. It seemed like it was just their love and hatred, but it seemed to be clear. The clarity happened right in front of my eyes, as if I had traveled through the book and came to their world. For Ji Ying, this world is a tragic love and the people of the world; for Shen Yu, the next life is a magnanimous love and he grew up overnight; for Xue Cai, it is a tolerant love and the responsibility of family feud. But no matter what the world is to them, they all have one thing in common, and that is family glory. These four words are deeply pierced into the hearts of all those involved, like a thorn, making people miserable but helpless. If they don't pull it out, it will hurt, and if they pull it out, they will bleed to death. All of them have never lived for themselves, but for the glory of the family that seems ridiculous and has to carry forward with a heavy burden. It is like a shackle, locking Ji Ying's youthful love, locking Shen Yu's carefree youth, and locking Xue Cai's immature innocence. So everyone in this story is being dragged forward and forced to grow by fate. It's like witnessing their stories with your own eyes. Even a bystander can't be alone. So after reading the last word, my heart ached a little. Yes, everyone in this story is heart-wrenching. Ji Ying's loss of his beloved, Shen Yu's growth overnight, Xue Cai's maturity beyond his years, Xi He's gray hair overnight, and He Yi's silent waiting all make people feel heartbroken. I know Chen Yu is the only lucky person in this story, because she is still alive and has found her true happiness. However, the departure of many people in the story may not be a tragedy, but a belated relief, such as Ji Ying, Xi He or Xue Cai, or many more people. Perhaps this is their sad luck. In fact, after reading the story, what I liked most was not Ji Ying in the Apricot Blossom Forest, nor the heart-wrenching Xue Cai, but the heroine Shen Yu. I appreciate her frank and passionate love; I like her saying: "My life is my own"; I love even more that no matter how much darkness she has experienced, she still maintains her original kindness, preferring to hurt herself rather than hurt others. Maybe others will laugh at her cowardice, but it is very valuable, isn't it? Her kindness shines a little light in the dark world, warming the cold heart, just like she warmed Xue Cai. So Shen Yu, she deserves happiness, so she has found happiness. When He Yi standing next to you is warming you, when your heart is no longer occupied by the unlovable boy in white in the apricot forest but replaced by the boy in red beside you, I am sincerely happy for you, because you are kind and you are worth everything. Thank you Chen Yu, because you made me understand that all I want in life is a clear conscience. You made me understand that kindness is never wrong, because kindness is really worth it.

I am the main character controller, so I only like Shen Yu and Xue Cai in the whole story. As for the love-hate relationship between Ji Ying and Xi He, to be honest, if Chen Yu wasn't involved, maybe they were the male and female protagonists in a tragic novel, and maybe I would feel sorry for this pair. But sorry, they are not. So I personally prefer Shen Yu. I read the story from her perspective, so I understand her personality and her thoughts. In the article, it seems that the love between Ji Ying and Xi He is very sad. But there were too many descriptions, which even covered up Chen Yu's scenes, which gave me the illusion that Shen Yu was the infatuated second female lead. Even though this way of writing is very unique, it makes me unhappy. The life of the heroine of the novel that I look forward to is not smooth sailing, but bright and clear. So the fact that Chen Yu played a supporting role in other people's love affairs made me particularly uncomfortable. This reminds me of the first short story in the novel collection "Fei Wushang", in which the innocent and helpless empress like a child is eventually annihilated in the fire. Even if the male protagonist does not love her, he is still willing to protect her and go to hell together. But the male protagonist only fulfilled the love of a monarch and his subjects, and the female protagonist who turned to ashes still did not get love in the end. Like a child begging for candy, pitifully begging for charity. All in all, the story of "The Nation" is wonderful.

To be honest, the most pitiable person in this story is Ye Xihe. She has peerless beauty but no power to protect herself. What's even more frightening is that her thoughts about life revolve almost entirely around Ji Ying. Why did you become active after you were born in a miserable life? Reply Ji Ying said I will marry you. Later, when he couldn't get married, she was given as a gift to the emperor. Ji Ying, the so-called lover, even talked about marriage, but he didn't dare to fight for his fiancée. Ye Shi went to bed in pain and couldn't figure out why even if he wanted to die. Answer: "I don't want to die. Ji Ying and his new lover are getting married." He was paralyzed by dreams and drunkenness and lived in pain. Why did he go crazy later? Da Jiying is dead and will be healed later. But he died again, why "Avenge Ji Ying, Ji Ying is dead and my life is meaningless. A waste of food." Ji Ying Ji Ying Ji Ying's! Ji Ying was the only one in her life, and Ji Ying was the whole meaning of her life, but the greatest suffering in her life was also caused by him, because he didn't dare to fight for her. Ji Ying had to bear most of the responsibility for her going crazy like that afterward! Ye is a peerless tool beauty born entirely for Ji Ying. She has no reason to exist except for Ji Ying. After Ji Ying dies, her mission is completed and she can go offline. I have only one thing to say to her: I am sorry for her misfortune, but I am even more angry for her inability to fight! This man doesn't want you anymore, he doesn't even dare to fight for you and send you out. He has abandoned you and is so cruel to you! What do you remember him doing? After ruining your life like this, you don't even have the courage or strength to retaliate against him and hate him! You should be a little more angry!

My introductory book on ancient style, woo woo

When I first read this article, the one who impressed me the most was Ji Ying. Maybe as the author said, although he doesn't look like the male protagonist in terms of time span or other aspects, I really felt that he was the core of the story. Followed by Xi He and Xue Cai, these two characters are really well portrayed. The most heartbreaking moment was when Ji Ying and Xue Cai died, and the part where Xi He went crazy was also very impressive. But I really have no feelings for Chen Yu. There are also people who don't like Ji Ying because he doesn't like Chen Yu. Do the male and female protagonists in a book have to be a couple? After browsing the comment section, I found that it is really difficult for me to understand some people's thoughts.

What touches my heart the most is Xue Cai's feelings for Chen Yu. I really hope that Chen Yu can be with Xue Cai in the end. The ending is beautiful.

After reading this book, I can only say that I am both amazed and reluctant to leave.

I came back to read this book again after more than ten years, and it's still very good.
