I finally finished reading this book, and I have to say, it is a good quality novel. Very organized! But compared to the author who said that the male protagonist in his mind is Ji Ying, I think the male protagonist is Xue Cai, the truly amazing and talented Xue Cai! Ji Ying's short life seemed to be full of glory, like the breeze and the bright moon, but to me, "the gold and jade are on the outside but ruined on the inside". He couldn't let go of his family, forcing himself to wander around and attracting many customers, and he had to give up his debt to Zhaoyi and give up his love. He is the most heartless person, using people's hearts to achieve his own goals, and using his beloved to repay his debts! In the end, although the Ji family had no money to search for and no subordinates to have exclusive power, it just made him feel uneasy. As Xue Cai said, since he has chosen such a path, it is impossible to be pure and flawless, and those who wield power will be untainted. Like Xi He, he seems to be tragic in love, but in fact, neither of them is worthy of love. If he loved her, he would not have imagined that Xihe's life would be ruined by himself. It seemed like it was just their love and hatred, but it seemed to be clear. The clarity happened right in front of my eyes, as if I had traveled through the book and came to their world. For Ji Ying, this world is a tragic love and the people of the world; for Shen Yu, the next life is a magnanimous love and he grew up overnight; for Xue Cai, it is a tolerant love and the responsibility of family feud. But no matter what the world is to them, they all have one thing in common, and that is family glory. These four words are deeply pierced into the hearts of all those involved, like a thorn, making people miserable but helpless. If they don't pull it out, it will hurt, and if they pull it out, they will bleed to death. All of them have never lived for themselves, but for the glory of the family that seems ridiculous and has to carry forward with a heavy burden. It is like a shackle, locking Ji Ying's youthful love, locking Shen Yu's carefree youth, and locking Xue Cai's immature innocence. So everyone in this story is being dragged forward and forced to grow by fate. It's like witnessing their stories with your own eyes. Even a bystander can't be alone. So after reading the last word, my heart ached a little. Yes, everyone in this story is heart-wrenching. I know Chen Yu is the only lucky person in this story, because she is still alive and has found her true happiness. However, the departure of many people in the story may not be a tragedy, but a belated relief, such as Ji Ying, Xi He or Xue Cai, or many more people. Perhaps this is their sad luck. In fact, after reading the story, what I liked most was not Ji Ying in the Apricot Blossom Forest, nor the heart-wrenching Xue Cai, but the heroine Shen Yu. I appreciate her frank and passionate love; I like her saying: "My life is my own"; I love even more that no matter how much darkness she has experienced, she still maintains her original kindness, preferring to hurt herself rather than hurt others. Maybe others will laugh at her cowardice, but it is very valuable, isn't it? Her kindness shines a little light in the dark world, warming the cold heart, just like she warmed Xue Cai. So Shen Yu, she deserves happiness, so she has found happiness. I am the main character controller, so I only like Shen Yu and Xue Cai in the whole story. As for the love-hate relationship between Ji Ying and Xi He, to be honest, if Chen Yu wasn't involved, maybe they were the male and female protagonists in a tragic novel, and maybe I would feel sorry for this pair. But sorry, they are not. So I personally prefer Shen Yu. I read the story from her perspective, so I understand her personality and her thoughts. In the article, it seems that the love between Ji Ying and Xi He is very sad. But there were too many descriptions, which even covered up Chen Yu's scenes, which gave me the illusion that Shen Yu was the infatuated second female lead. Even though this way of writing is very unique, it makes me unhappy. The life of the heroine of the novel that I look forward to is not smooth sailing, but bright and clear. So the fact that Chen Yu played a supporting role in other people's love affairs made me particularly uncomfortable. This reminds me of the first short story in the novel collection "Fei Wushang", in which the innocent and helpless empress like a child is eventually annihilated in the fire. Even if the male protagonist does not love her, he is still willing to protect her and go to hell together. But the male protagonist only fulfilled the love of a monarch and his subjects, and the female protagonist who turned to ashes still did not get love in the end. Like a child begging for candy, pitifully begging for charity. All in all, the story of "The Nation" is wonderful.

My introductory book on ancient style, woo woo

When I first read this article, the one who impressed me the most was Ji Ying. Maybe as the author said, although he doesn't look like the male protagonist in terms of time span or other aspects, I really felt that he was the core of the story. Followed by Xi He and Xue Cai, these two characters are really well portrayed. The most heartbreaking moment was when Ji Ying and Xue Cai died, and the part where Xi He went crazy was also very impressive. But I really have no feelings for Chen Yu. There are also people who don't like Ji Ying because he doesn't like Chen Yu. Do the male and female protagonists in a book have to be a couple? After browsing the comment section, I found that it is really difficult for me to understand some people's thoughts.

What touches my heart the most is Xue Cai's feelings for Chen Yu. I really hope that Chen Yu can be with Xue Cai in the end. The ending is beautiful.

After reading this book, I can only say that I am both amazed and reluctant to leave.

I came back to read this book again after more than ten years, and it's still very good.
