The Mad, Obsessive CEO

Twenty years ago, in a deserted corner amid a downpour. Ten-year-old Ji Qiu huddled against the wall. A five-year-old girl hugged her and gave her a piece of candy. "Don't be afraid, big sister. I'll stay with you." That was the last sweetness Ji Qiu ever tasted before a high fever took away her sense of taste. She remembered it for twenty years. The little girl forgot. Twenty years later, Shi Xian signs an agreement to repay her father's debt and is forced to become Ji Qiu's lover. Ji Qiu breaks into her room late at night and orders her to take off her clothes. After kissing her forcibly again and again, she says, "When I like someone, I want to possess them." Later, Shi Xian bites her, kicks her, calls her a crazy woman, and asks her over and over, "Do you even know what it means to like someone?" Ji Qiu says, "No one ever taught me." Abuse, atonement, and a constant push and pull. Under Ji Qiu's rules, Shi Xian is crushed again and again, only to piece herself back together each time. When she applies medicine, she avoids Ji Qiu's eyes. After kissing Ji Qiu's jaw, she springs away and sends a message saying, "Remember to put on your medicine," as if reminding her of a work appointment. Shi Xian wears the word "atonement" like a shroud, giving everything she has until there's nothing left. She doesn't know that Ji Qiu has been waiting all along for the five-year-old girl to hug her first, just one more time. "Don't be afraid, big sister. I'll stay with you." "Shi Xian, when will you give me another piece of candy?" "Shi Xian, you're mine." [Reader Advisory] 1. Forced love, love and hate 2. Happy ending, happy ending, happy ending 3. Angst and melodrama.
