After the Original Wife Awakens in a Brother's Wife Story

Yan Zhiyu dreamed that she was a disposable character in a story about a man and his sister-in-law, and the protagonists were her newlywed husband and her elder sister-in-law. She helped her husband wholeheartedly as he studied for the imperial examinations and entered government service, only for him to kill her and marry his widowed sister-in-law over her grave.

When she woke up, Yan Zhiyu decided that this time around, she would make sure the wretched pair met a horrible end!

Cen Che, military governor of Guanzhou, gets caught in danger and has no choice but to assume the identity of one of his subordinates and stay temporarily with the Qi family.

The Qi family is a tiny temple with a lot of strange spirits. First, there are his subordinate's biased parents; then there's the younger brother-in-law who's having an affair with his wife. Cen Che wants no part in his subordinate's family affairs and tries to pretend he can't hear or see a thing. But every few days, his subordinate's younger sister-in-law insists on taking him to catch the adulterers.

Cen Che is at a loss. If she's going to catch them in the act, why does she have to drag him along?

Until one day, his sister-in-law says in exasperation, "Elder Brother, there are plenty of women in this world. Stop being obsessed with your sister-in-law and look at someone else. We can only get revenge on them if we work together!"
