The Unfavored Child of God

Indra was born with wisdom and carried the favor of Heaven's destiny.

Yet as his eldest son grew ever more striking and regal with age, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, revered by the world as the Sage of Six Paths, could only think more and more of his mother, sealed away on the moon: the former Goddess of the Rabbit, Kaguya.

"The successor to Ninshu will be..."

"Asura."

No one knew that Indra, quietly caring for his younger brother in his father's place and shouldering the burden of Ninshu, possessed eyes that could see the most likely fate in the river of time. So no one understood why this proud, arrogant young man quietly left on his own after his father named Ninshu's successor.

More than a decade of devotion and heartfelt care still couldn't overcome "destiny"...

The moment his beloved younger brother betrayed him, Indra finally remembered his past. And he remembered that day of heaven-shattering destruction and a fallen dynasty, when his father gave him his final blessing.

"My son, may you live a peaceful and joyful life."
