Listening to Your Heart

Tingyi knew she hadn't been very clever since childhood. The only thing she could do was obediently follow instructions. Xie Zhiyuan said that as long as she behaved, he would help her find her older brother. So she obediently let Xie Zhiyuan kiss her, hold her, and plant a tiny seed in her belly. Sometimes she thought there couldn't be a better person in the world than Xie Zhiyuan. He took her to see the lanterns and fly kites. Beneath the osmanthus tree in the courtyard, covered in blossoms, he kissed her and said with a smile, "Good girl, Tingyi." But later, Xie Zhiyuan changed. He didn't want her anymore. He even told someone to her face, "She's just an idiot." Only then did Tingyi understand that from beginning to end, she'd been nothing but a fool. But she understood why, after she died, that lofty, untouchable man had stumbled to her grave and clawed it open like a madman, murmuring her name over and over: "Tingyi..." Xie Zhiyuan was the Crown Prince of the Eastern Palace, a man of noble birth who held power in his hands and looked down on the world. He thought Tingyi was beneath him, but in the end... he fell in love with her. Theme: Always cherish all the beautiful things around you.
