“Excuse me, what’s it like having an idol in the basketball club?”
“She’s amazing! We all love her so much!!!”
Kuroko Tetsuya, whose stage name is Aizuki, is an artist signed to NS, Japan’s largest record company. She debuted as a voice actress, but at her very first live show, her beauty and singing ability sent her straight to the top of Twitter’s trending list. She also led her group Link Moon to the Budokan in just one year. In their first year, they made it into the Nikkei entertainment industry rankings’ list of promising newcomers and the top ten female idol groups. Magazine covers and commercials came pouring in. She was a bona fide legendary idol.
But this legendary idol also had a hobby known to all of Japan: basketball. She never missed a game, and would rather turn down two ad offers than skip practice. In her first year, she and Riko Aida transformed a brand-new team, founded just two years earlier, into a powerhouse that won the WC tournament. In her second year, she even established a girls' basketball club and took the court herself to win the championship. In her third year, she coached both the Seirin boys' and girls' teams at once, earning the nickname “Genius Scout.” Elite teams competed to have her coach them, and the national team invited her to serve as an assistant coach.
Her entertainment and basketball careers flourished side by side. Link Moon even topped the annual rankings, and her solo single sold over a million copies. She made it into the top tier of the industry only three years after debuting. But Kuroko Tetsuya never played up a celebrity pairing, and rarely appeared on variety shows. She was selective about magazines and commercials, too. Her fans begged for new photos of their gorgeous idol every day beneath the few tweets she posted and on the agency's account. They even had to turn to a basketball magazine to find her latest interview.
And the interview was about basketball tactics.
Fans: Do you have any idea how long it's been since you gave us any content??? Is basketball really the only thing you love???
When someone else's idol was photographed with a male classmate, fans said: Is this the end of it? Is my girl going to start dating???
When Kuroko Tetsuya was photographed with a male classmate, fans said: What position does that guy play? Is he a starter?
The rhythm game STAR BEAT: Heart-Pounding! became an instant hit when it was released. It features as many as 35 members, and Hoshihara Airi is undoubtedly one of the most popular. Her dignified beauty and sweet-but-not-cloying, cool-but-not-cold personality have countless people calling her their wife. As a project where the characters are closely linked to their voice actors, Aizuki, the voice behind Hoshihara Airi, has also drawn plenty of attention, despite never showing her face.
The members of Seirin's basketball club were no exception. After someone got them started, they all became rhythm-game players. Then one day, they discovered that Aizuki, the voice of Hoshihara Airi, was none other than Kuroko Tetsuya, the beautiful manager of their basketball club.
Everyone: ???
Things to know before reading:
Kuroko is female from birth. All pairings involve Kuroko.
The project is modeled on BanG Dream!, and its characters have no real-life counterparts.
It's a crossover, and yes, it's a completely random crossover, including mainstream sports anime and bizarre works like REC.
Kuroko is Seirin's manager.
My understanding of basketball is limited to Slam Dunk and Kuroko's Basketball, so there won't be much basketball in the story. Just enjoy it, okay? After all, the main goal is romance. (Hey!)
Updates whenever I can. (I'm writing the Seirin manager story on the other site, I really am!!!)
Theme: Work hard, shine brightly, and do what you want to do
When will it be updated?
Looks good, please work hard!
I really like this interesting development!
