Wen Xueya is of mixed Chinese and Korean heritage and grew up in Finland. Deeply introverted, she was thrown onto a film set by her cousin, Wen Junhe, during her very first week back in China with her father. He claimed it was to help her overcome her social anxiety.

Fans all know that Wen Xueya looks aloof, but is actually extremely introverted, almost to the point of being withdrawn. She does nothing but work, and they worry she has no friends. What they don't know is that once their girl starts acting, she gets so deeply into character that she loses herself.

“What? You like me?”

“But I only like the character you play.”

“What? I can keep playing that character?”

“But it's not me who likes you, it's the character I play.”
