The original heroine was being chased by wild beasts in the jungle.
The younger members of the family were supposed to train by catching small beasts near the jungle. The second female lead set things up so the heroine got trapped inside. The heroine had a naturally useless spirit root and still hadn't reached the first stage of Qi Refining at age ten. The second female lead was used to bullying her behind everyone's back, but she hadn't expected this time to go too far. The heroine was bitten by a venomous snake and died from the poison. When she woke up again, she had transmigrated into this world.
