Summer Warmth

If Xia Duoduo had known she would reunite with Jiang Yang, she never would have gone to the police station to bail out her senior fellow student.

Police officer: “So you two know each other from before.”

Xia Duoduo: “We were classmates.”

Jiang Wei: “We weren't close.”

She thought they would part ways there and never cross paths again.

But a few days later, Xia Duoduo saw Jiang Yang again at a class reunion.

Old Wang asked, “Did you two have a thing for each other back then?”

Jiang Yang laughed. “The crushes you have when you're young don't count as love. They're like the wind. A few gusts and they're gone.”

Xia Duoduo lowered her head and quietly walked away.

She didn't hear what he said next.

Jiang Yang covered his eyes and said in a hoarse voice, “She whipped up a tornado in my world, turned everything upside down, then just patted herself off and left without a care. She didn't want me anymore.”

Another year passed.

At the place where they had made their promise all those years ago, Jiang Yang bent down and gathered her into his arms, holding her tenderly and gently, attentive to her every need.

He whispered in Xia Duoduo's ear, “All those years, all I could think was: may you come like the wind, right on time, and blow into my dreams.”

Now his dream had come true.

May everyone meet the light of their life, the person who's best for them.

Note: Reuniting after a breakup, both have only ever loved each other and are each other's first love, mutual salvation
