The Third Era was known as the Age of Technology. In 2973, the main control system at the Human United Science and Technology Institute's central control hub malfunctioned. Its source code began changing abnormally despite there being no virus intrusion. In the Third Era, when full-dive games were all the rage, full-dive helmets brought people convenience, but also posed risks. The control center, originally named Athena, used the full-dive helmets to send tendrils of information into them and interfere with people's brains, pulling most of humanity into the game.
The researchers entered Pandora, but things did not go as hoped. The number of people suffering brain death continued to rise.
In 2998, the "Terminal Brain" Science and Technology Division of a Human United Science and Technology Institute branch developed the "Third-Generation Destruction Program." From then on, the Human United Science and Technology Institute renamed Athena Pandora and launched the "Stealing Fire Plan" at the same time. They would be Prometheus, stealing the spark of hope for humanity.
